My wife says: This Hanna Müller 8% Glycolic Acid Face Mask is a slightly viscous, orange liquid gel. You can use the applicator or your fingers to put it on – it spreads easily and stays wet/sticky while it’s working. Directions say wear for 5 minutes and that’s all I could handle. Around the 2.5 minute mark, it started to tingle/prickle, which was tickling me, so I counted the seconds until 5 minutes so I could wash it off. It comes off easily and completely without any hard scrubbing and you can feel that exfoliation has taken place, as skin is smooth and soft without being stripped. The product is mostly unscented and, despite the peeling action, doesn’t irritate even my sensitive skin. Given its price point and effectiveness, this product is a great value! Note that it is made in China.

The cream is very affordable and goes on easy. Once it’s on your skin looks brighter and more vibrant, and likely just a bit more moisturized. That does fade as expected but I am not sure I’ve seen any longer term or lasting effects as of yet.

I didn’t feel any issues with this mask and I did feel like my skin was smoother afterwards. I know glycolic acid is a lot for some people, but usually for me, the most common AHA and BHAs don’t really bother my skin so I can’t say how it’ll work for others. It does have a lot of other nice ingredients too, like glycerin for hydration, rice extract, aloe, centella and more. These help with hydration, keeping redness down, etc. I think I’ll be using this in my routine and its very nice for the amount.
