I have a job where I look at a screen all day so I definitely get tired eyes a lot.
These masks warm up very quickly and whilst they never get “hot” they stay very warm for a good while – up to about an hour. I found these easy to open and apply but for me the section that goes over your eyes could be thicker or heavier to actually sit into your eye a bit more as I had to really press the mask into my eyes for a better experience.
I know these are supposed to be chamomile scented but I found that they smelt of absolutely nothing.
These would be great for a little relaxation if you were having a pamper night and didn’t want a “wet” face pack. I quite like that they are dry because there’s absolutely no clean up afterwards.
My only real bug bear with these is that there is no mention on the listing or on the box about the actual ingredients are or materials used in making these or how recyclable the whole item is. I’d have liked to know if the masks were biodegradable at all. Also the 21 individual pouches makes for a lot of single use plastic I would prefer to avoid.
On the plus side my eyes were lovely and fresh after 20 minutes. Will definitely use again.

I was very skeptical of these masks when I received them, because nothing about this box instills any sort of confidence in the product. While I wasn’t exactly expecting a list of ingredients, it would be nice to know what these eye masks are made of. Are they paper, cotton, linen? I don’t know. There must be some kind of chemical reaction happening to make these magically warm up once exposed to air. What is it that’s in the pouches causing that? Why does the box say how steam masks typically work instead of how these specifically work? I don’t know. Where was this product made? I don’t know. Why won’t it say what this specific product does or how to use it instead of telling me how to use a steam mask in general? I don’t know! Why does the woman on the box look like her eyes have been erased by the use of these masks? I DON’T KNOW!
But, like any digilent reviewer put my doubts aside and dutifully removed a mask from the pouch to try it – well, not before making sure it wouldn’t burn my face off first, with so many unknowns. It says this should get up to 104 degrees, and when I put a meat thermometer on it to see, it hovered around 101 degrees in the open air. When I pinched one side tightly around the thermometer, it tapped out at 108.5 degrees. Feeling better than I wouldn’t be scalded, I tested it on my arm and was pleased to see no skin melted off. Finally satisfied I wouldn’t end up with the same fate as the woman on the box, I lay down to give this a try.
I put it over my eyes, wrapped the loops around my ears and relaxed, slowly melting into my couch. Good gawd, where have these been all my life? You know how, back in the day, if you were on a long flight the steward(ess) would bring you a warm cloth to freshen up before a meal or landing? Yeah, it felt like that cloth, but better because this stays warm. I’ve got two small kids and a full time job and I haven’t felt this relaxed in years. The bonus is that I really like the design and feel cute wearing it even if alone in a room.
There’s a floral scent I can’t quite place – not rose, and not quite granny’s perfume, but similar, and familiar. It’s not too strong or unpleasant, but I can see where some with a sensitive nose may find it overwhelming. Like another who’s tried these, I found my vision blurry after but was not concerned.
I gotta tell you, I have fallen in love with these masks. Individually wrapped, they are perfect for slipping into your bag for a train or plane ride (I will never get on a plane again without at least one of these with me). They’re great for adding to a care package to share with a friend, and they would make a great, albeit random, gift.
Based on the box I must assume any steam mask of its kind would do the same thing, but MUYUNBOS is the brand tried. Bonus: one of my kids wants a soccer party and MUYUNBOS has a “soccer party supplies dosposable dinnerware set”, so it’s a very versatile brand.

I liked these much more than I thought I would. Each time I’ve used these I’ve ended up falling asleep. So maybe only use these when you have nothing else to do for the rest of the day or set a timer just in case.
The first one I opened I was a bit confused as I thought a remembered the description indicating there was a way to loop this over your ears but initially it looks like you’d just hold it in place. But then I realized you have to pull the white backing off and tear it in the middle to create the part that will go over the ears.
The only thing I wasn’t a fan of is the floral scent. It is somewhat strong and then lingers in my face even after I’m no longer wearing the mask. Obviously it isn’t too overwhelming because I’m still falling asleep but I’ve also been in a fairly large room. I think if used in a smaller space like if trying to use while also soaking in the tub it would be too bothersome to enjoy. So definitely an unscented version would be a good idea.
I tried to offer one of these to my mom for her to experience some relaxation and she wanted to know how it works. I tried explaining it as basically like handwarmers but for your eyes as it becomes activated by the air in the same way. I have no idea what in those little bags sold as handwarmers makes them work and assume it is something safe and non toxic. But my mom was worried that there may be some chemical used in these eye masks to make it heat up and also was concerned about chemicals used to make it scented especially since it is most likely these are made in china.
Unfortunately I was not able to adequately address my mother’s concerns as neither the box or the individual packets indicate ingredients or country of origin. Since this would be covering the eyes and being in direct contact with her skin she didn’t want anything to with it unless was able to confirm how it was made and what exactly would be going on her body.
I still enjoy using it especially after a long day of staring at my computer screen for work. If you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to smells then you may want to avoid this product.
As much as I enjoy how relaxing this is I probably would not purchase again and that is mostly because I did not take into consideration this as being a single use product. Which as soon as I used the first one and was throwing it away realized how wasteful this is. And now I see that there are reusable heated eye masks so I’ll probably go with something that is a more permanent product to try and achieve that same level of relaxation I experienced with these eye masks

These were excellent and how they work open them, put them on and slowly they get warm and feel very good on the eyes. They are with moisture. Very easy to use.
