I’ve been using this moisturizer for 4 years, it is my holy grail!! I don’t need to change moisturizers in the winter because this is thick enough to keep my skin moisturized year-round. I do agree with some of the other reviewers in that it does not totally get rid of shine, but in my experience, moisturizers that fully matify don’t provide enough moisture and often lead to breakouts. For more oil control, I would recommend either a makeup primer or a matte sunscreen on top of this product. I have been using Biore perfect face milk (also purchased on Amazon) for the past few months and it works so well with this moisturizer to keep me oil-free for 6-8 hours. Mario Badescu never disappoints!

I love this moisturizer and it doesn’t cause any breakouts! I have combination skin and it moisturizes the dry parts but does not make the oily parts too oily. Highly recommend I have been using this for years now!

My face frequently breaks out and my T zone tends to be pretty oily after noon daily. This product is great in that it is not greasy at all. In fact it feels weightless and keeps my face fully moisturized overnight (However, I don’t live in dry climate and the non-oily parts of my face are not dry even on their own.).
I previously assumed incorrectly that “control” as part of the product name indicates reducing shine. Nooo, I was wrong, afterwards I’ve changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Its lable says: “Controls irratation associated with aggressive acne treatments.” Overall, it does not make me break out either more or less and it is very lightweight for my skin.
Call me a pessimistic person but I tend to be skeptical about some products that produce, or promise to produce, dramatic results over a relatively short period of time–well, you guessed it, this one doesn’t. However, this moisturizer produces ample moisturization, mild control of acnes, and zero irritation for my skin. If you are looking for a quick fix for what looks like a temporary skin issue, I feel like this is likely not to be what you will need (hence, four stars instead of five stars from me). But I’ve had pusteles for 14 years since I was a young teen. I trust its results on improving the base of my facial skin enough that I plan to include this product in my personal kit for long term.

I don’t love this. It’s not bad, but it also just isn’t great. I can’t wear it under makeup, it doesn’t seem to do anything to control oil, and it tends to separate.
It keeps my skin adaquately moisturized at night, but so do plenty of other lotions.
Seriously though, it separates. I have to shake it for a good five seconds before every use or I get an unmixed, unusable moisturizer.

Most moisturizers that I used led to clogged pores- just what I don’t need. After applying, it leaves my skin supple & dewy. I used this over a 50 SPF product by another manufacturer.

I love this moisturizer. It does the job for me. I just have to make sure I was a very small amount or it leaves a greasy feeling on my face. That is not the point of moisturizer. The point of moisturizer is to use a small amount which will sink in fast.
