Ive been purchasing from this seller for a few years. What I like about them is the transparency and the consistency of their products. This is my first time trying Kokum. I usually get the mango butter. The kokum is a perfect winter moisturizer. In NY we have brutal winters, and I usually suffer with dry skin, but after adding this to my oil mix, I no longer have dry skin at all. I also love that it just doesn’t sit on the skin. It absorbs very well. This butter is definitely a winter MUST.

Very nice butter. I’ve never used it before, but discovered a recipe on Pinterest that included this along with Mango, cocoa butter. Having made body butter before, this butter certainly changed the texture for the better and I’m so glad I discovered it. Shipping via Amazon Prime allowed it to arrive during mid June weather (80 degrees) without it melting. Going forward, I’ll consider temperatures when ordering to ensure weather doesn’t impact final delivery of the product. I can hardly wait to make additional butters using this one.

My wife and I make homemade lotion by doctoring up a lotion base with premium ingredients like shea butter and kokum butter. We had a 7lb bucket from a bulk supplier go bad, so I figured buying it in smaller quantities might be the way to go.
This product didn’t have any reviews, but the price was the lowest of any supplier I’ve seen, and it comes with prime shipping (at the time of this review)! I took a chance, and my wife has given me the thumbs up on it – so this will be the source of our kokum butter from now on.
For those who have never handled this product, keep in mind that this nut butter is very hard and is meant to be combined with other oils or butters before applied to the skin. Don’t expect to be able to rub this into your skin right away – it has a very high melting temperature.
The product itself comes in one continuous bar, so you may need to whittle some off with a knife, or use a wood chisel and wooden mallet like I do. I highly recommend this product!

I didn’t use this product since it was ordered and arrived one week later, but had been expired for 7 months! I didn’t want my DIY project made with rancid butter!

LOVE IT! This Kokum butter arrived in perfect condition and in biodegradable packaging. I buy butters often, from various sellers, and I like the biodegradable bags because they hold up well for storage and use.
This Kokum, itself, is of excellent quality. However, please note, it is refined and not raw. Raw Kokum is actually brown or coffee colored. Still, this is very good quality Kokum; I already formulated and completed a face cream with this butter, and it’s magnificent (I formulate and craft homemade/natural/organic lotions, soaps, and other skincare products). I want to add, thanks to another Amazon Customer review, I was diligent in checking the weight of my product/package. Thus, I did weigh the Kokum butter on arrival – it was actually a little over a pound (even factoring the weight of packaging) so nice work on the sellers end.
It’s always a little nerve racking for me to try-out new sellers and their products. However, I will definitely consider buying additional products from this seller now that I know their product is superb. Concisely, I am a happy customer, and I would absolutely recommend this Kokum butter to others.

I thought I would add some comments/updates regarding formulating with this Kokum butter! :0)
To date, I have crafted face moisturizer, cold process soap, face wash, and an all over body lotion/moisturizer with this Kokum butter. Honestly, this Kokum behaves exactly as expected considering it’s fatty acid profile. For example, moisturizers thicken nicely and with a creamy finish. Cold process soaps benefit from the moisturizing and bar hardening properties within this Kokum. Even the face wash I created requires less thickening ingredients and maintains a great moisturizing feeling. Plus, this Kokum is non-comedogenic, which makes it ideal for facial products. It also has little to no scent and maintains an ivory coloring thus non-altering to a skincare product aesthetically or contributing any unwanted scent. I am super happy that I found this Kokum butter, and I plan to incorporate it into more of my skincare formulas.

I thought I would share an interesting discovery while formulating with Kokum butter. For instance, I have a tried and true face cream formula that I use 5% kokum butter (5% of total formula), and at this 5% ratio, I can reduce my emulsifier down to 15% of the total weight of my oils/emollients/butters. This is pretty amazing because at that percentage the emulsifier is barely 3% of the total formula. No other butter allows for this sort of modification because typically the emulsifier needs to be around 25% of total oil/emollient weight, but kokum thickens like no other butter and offers an amazing finish on the final product with absolutely no separation. The face cream I create absorbs well, and I love using natural ingredients with so many healing and/or beneficial properties. So, for the diy crafters, I thought I would share my experience and especially for those of you creating heat emulsions. If anyone needs clarification or has a question, please ask! Cheers!

I ordered the Kokum, Mango and Shea butter from Oslove Organics and love them! They are exactly the texture, scent and quality that I am pleased to use in my products, and the price was excellent. Their customer service department is top notch and went out of their way to be helpful when I emailed them to let them know that one of my products was a bit short on weight. They went above and beyond in an effort to correct the mistake. I will most definitely be ordering from this company again when it is time to restock my inventory, and I look forward to trying more of their products!
