This Shea butter has a slight odor to it. It was packaged well and is soft. It’s coloring is yellower than white Shea butter that I have gotten elsewhere. I’ve only had the odor that this Shea butter gives off, with yellow Shea butter. But besides the slight odor, which to me disappears after application, this butter is soft and spreads easily.

First of all, unlike all the really hard butters you buy in tiny tubs, this is a HUGE chunk of Shea butter. It’s ivory, and incredibly soft, and it smells AMAZING. It also melts in your hand, and it’s not hard at all to scoop out unlike the other kinds. I’ve been using it on my face and body before sleep and sometimes in the morning after a shower. It is very oily, I mean you are putting actual nut butter on your skin, so give it 10-20 minutes to absorb while you sit on a towel and dry your hair or something. It helps skin heal, and it’s better than most lotions I’ve tried. The only thing is I have such dry skin that it does dry off in about 8 hours (It’s a weird combination skin), but I found that basically putting it on twice a day in small amounts in the morning, and liberally at night, is the best way to go about it.

This stuff is amazing it smells nutty. I mix it with coco butter with castor oil make body butter. Mixes really nice. And the two smells together love it. Even my husband likes it. Would order again. If you looking for shea butter with no smell I don’t recommend this. You can’t cover the smell up. It is to strong. Shipped quick and great price for 5lb and it weighed 5lb
