I love the Shea butter from Better Shea Butter and the customer service is outstanding. I recently made the most awesome sunscreen lotion bars with the Shea butter, And am thrilled with the results – these lotion bars came out firm, but soft and smooth and moisturizing to the skin. – I almost wish I could eat them!
I rarely use sunscreen until I made my own because there is nothing I like on the market! I think the high quality of the shea butter was a big factor in the the success of this sunscreen recipe. These sunscreen bars are so pretty / they are in the shape if daisies and would make great gifts. The shea butter was a pleasure to work with; it has a pleasant smell, and has a nice consistency kind of like the Play Dough I used to play with as a kid- except the shea butter is more luxurious with a very nice snell.!. Better Shea butter is not gritty like some other brands. Thank goodness I found the Better Shea Butter company as I did not like any of the other brands I tried. I have to comment on the customer service , and I am very impressed. I had lots of questions and the shea butter lady always responded quickly by phone and email. I am so exited to make lip balm and body butter next . I just ordered the cocoa butter from Better Shea Butter and can’t wait to use it – I think I will try a chocolate peppermint body butter recipe – I’ll let you know how it turns out !
I just made a batch of vanilla bean body butter with the better Shea butter and I can’t believe I made it! It is divine and luxurious and smells heavenly. I went for many years not using body lotion because I didn’t like any of them on the market- now I can honestly say that I truly enjoy using this product; especially knowing that there are no harmful chemicals. In so excited that I found the Better Shea Butter company!

The shipping was fast and the shea butter arrived well-packaged and in fine condition. The shea butter is very good quality. I saw some reviews that “it stinks”. I don’t think it stinks and neither does my boyfriend. It has a nutty smell. You do have to get used to it but it’s not unpleasant to me, however I suppose that can be a personal preference.
I have found this shea butter heals the skin. I LOVE it as a facial moisturizer, because it doesn’t clog my pores. Coconut oil always made me break out. And I’ve had skin that could easily break out with most moisturizers, including jojoba oil.
Apparently shea butter is a ZERO on the comedogenic scale of 0 to 5 (coconut oil is a 4 which explains to me why it clogged my pores and broke me out every time I tried to use it). I was a bit wary to use it on my face, but I can now say after use for a couple of weeks that I had no breakout at all, and my skin is looking wonderful – I especially love using it as an eye cream. It really improves the skin around the eye area and doesn’t irritate my eyes, unlike the many expensive eye creams I’ve used, which did jack s*** for my eye area. This makes my skin healthy. It heals cuts and wounds. It is great for hands, feet, everything, and ALL natural. I don’t like the recipes to add it to coconut oil because for me, coconut oil just cheapens the wonderful rich shea quality. I mixed it with lavender essential oil and use it as my face and eye cream. Totally will buy this again.
The free ebook comes as soon as you enter the confirmation code from your order, so it was prompt. While I didn’t use all the recipes, it’s nice to have some guides on how to mix it up. I will use it with many essential oils for various uses.

I’m pregnant with our first baby (30 weeks – over 7 months) and used this as a pure moisturizer throughout, it has worked nicely, still never causes any breakouts either. I use it on my belly, and any areas where women get stretch marks, after every shower. So far, my skin is supple and never has itched (I hear many pregnant women get itchy skin on their bellies because the skin is stretching). I make sure to drink lots of water and use my shea butter on my skin, and have felt quite comfortable, so I like this a lot. I’ve already ordered a couple of times, and will certainly order again. I really like the quality of this shea butter cream for face, body and hands. I don’t make my own products or anything, just use it as is. It is nice and soft, and it doesn’t have a strong scent to is. maybe just a mild slightly nutty smell to it. The texture is similar to say coconut oil but creamer when it melts. I love the way it feels on my body and I even have used some on my toddlers cheeks when they get chapped from the cold and it works great. I am extremely happy with this brand and product. Both my son and I have pretty sensitive skin, but this feels great and neither of us had a reaction. I highly recommend this brand .

This is the best shea butter I’ve ever found. It’s not grainy or gritty at all. The scent is very faint.
The company is also excellent to deal with. I couldn’t find the info for the recipe e-book in my package so I emailed them and they got back to me within a few hours with the e-book. It’s nice to deal with a small company that seems to care about their customers after the purchase.
Don’t take “a little goes a long way” lightly with this shea butter. If you apply it too heavily you’ll feel greasy for hours. Just a little will do.
I use this on my body either straight (a dab in your palm and rub together to melt) or combined with a little jojoba or almond oil to make it easier to spread. It’s an excellent moisturizer for the whole body. Any dry patches I had on my skin were gone within a couple days of using shea butter.
I also use shea butter lightly on my face at night. Unlike coconut oil, which I had tried previously, it doesn’t clog my pores. No breakouts from shea butter.
In a week it got rid of callouses on my feet. For that, I pretty much douse my feet and put on socks before bed.
My last use for this she butter so far is as a hair conditioner. I apply it to wet hair, starting at the root and working my way to the ends. Leave it in overnight and shampoo it out the next day. The result is really soft hair.
This chunk of shea butter is pretty big so it should last a long time. Considering the quality of the product, it’s a bargain. Will buy again.
