Loves how this product have my skin looking and feel. Plan on buying again and again. Raw Shea Butter does not have the best scent to me so I use essential oils to liven up scent when making my whipped body butters.

I recently ordered ivory shea butter, but what I received was yellow shea butter instead. The color looks unusual compared to other yellow shea butter products I’ve used in the past, and I’m really disappointed with both its texture and color. This was not what I expected, and I feel let down by the product.

This product has made a huge improvement to my homemade lip balm. I use the lip balm less because it’s effect to moisturize lasts much longer. There’s just one thing to remember when using Shea Butter – be sure to heat it to 175-200 degrees F for at least 30 minutes before adding it to the rest of your ingredients or the Shea will become grainy after time and ruin your hard efforts. I learned this the hard way!

For the amount you’re getting and the price you’re paying – it’s okay! The scent is not very enjoyable, and the color is so bright that it kind of stains my skin yellow. I bought this to melt down, add more oils to it then whip it to make a lotion for my belly while pregnant but the smell is so strong that it keeps me from using it. I even added 20 drops of lemon essential oil, but it didn’t change the smell at all. If the smell & color wouldn’t affect what you’re using it for then this would be a great product! It does a good job at moisturizing. The smell is just a little too earthy for me & the color is too yellow.

After the shea butter I was using wasnt available anymore about 3/3.5 years ago , I have been searching for that authentic shea butter smell, texture, and color. I’ve gotten it maybe 2/3 times since then…but then those become unavailable. Since, I’ve gotten others that were close and some that I sent back immediately. I hope when I order this exact one again, I will get the EXACT item. Some of you know, it will and can switch up on you! 🙂 This one has that faint shea butter smell, slightly grainy texture, and that beigey color. PLEASE AMAZON or SELLER, please keep this EXACT ONE! Do not substitute when people order…send this exact one!!
