Looked too expensive but Consumer Reports gave it a really high rating so I gave it a shot. WOW! None of that white zinc all over yourself or weird smells. Easy to use, and it blocked my face, neck and bald head from getting sunburned in and out of the water for two weeks in Cancún. Everyone else in our group got, GOT by the sunburn gods but me. Terrific product. My wife stole it from me. Will definitely be buying it again.

Goes on clear and absorbs immediately into the skin. I’m using it daily because I spend a lot of time on the water and outside. Expensive but worth it to me. Every year I see what liquid sunscreen gets the top rating from Consumer Reports and buy accordingly.

I really like this product. I’m in the sun quite often and needed something that would protect my sensitive skin. This did it for me. I was particularly amazed by how smoothly it went on over my moisturizer. Not only will I repurchase, I would recommend!

I was not sure I was getting into here. Matt sunblock? Is that even a thing!? Oh yes ladies, it’s sure the hell is. I have started blending this in with my foundation and it gives me a perfectly matte look for at least 6 hours. Plus the added benefit of my face being protected! Love love love this product!

I love the product as it is truly a clear sunscreen and it feels lightweight. However, there are some downsides.
(1) If you use too much (or the right amount using the two finger method) it will become slightly greasy. I’ve gotten comments that I look sweaty or shiny sometimes.
(2) It ever so slightly has a very pungent chemical smell that you get a whiff of if you apply it around the nose. To be fair I do have a really good sense of smell so it could just be me. Even so, it’s something to look out for.
(3) The non gel version is just better. I bought this cause I wanted to try it and the issues I have with this one, I don’t get from the black bottle version.
(4) The matte effect is ever so slightly drying. It not just matte, it will make you look dry in a way. Like you need to use moisturizer.
Other than these 4 rather picky complaints, very nice product! REMEMBER!!! Apply sunscreen even in the winter!!

This version of black girl sunscreen is my favorite ! It’s not greasy and doesn’t leave a white cast on your face like most sunscreens. It feels like a thicker lotion and once you put it on it just gives you a moisture looking shine. The only con I get is when I go running once I sweat if it gets in my eyes it makes my eyes burn. So I make sure to be careful putting it around my eyes

Love, love, LOVE the matte finish of this sunscreen. It leaves absolutely NO residue whatsoever. It goes on smoothly and leaves no weird tacky feeling.
I would love it if the sunscreen lasted longer per application. Reapplying it after one has put on makeup is a challenge. I’m perhaps a spray-on option could solve this problem.
I also wish they would work on improving some of the ingredients so that they can achieve the EWG seal. That said, I wouldn’t want to change the performance of the product to earn the seal.
I will still give them 5 stars bc this product does exactly what they said!
