A few years ago and after much research and recommendations, I settled on Naturalife Labs Magnesium Glycinate 450mg To help relieve muscle/joint pain as well as help with my sleep. It also keeps me regular and I no longer need to supplement with fiber. I take two a night. More than that causes me to use the bathroom a little TOO much…lol. I noticed an improvement with how I felt once starting the supplement, but it wasn’t until I ran out for a month or so that I REALLY could tell a difference. I truly believe that Magnesium should be part of everyone’s nightly routine. It’s the one vitamin that I do not go without. I’ve since added Vitamin D3, GABA, L-theanine and melatonin before bedtime as well and I feel so much more rested in the mornings.

I am a retired RN. Been in Alternative medicine for 30 years. Developed A-fib Nov. 2017. Saw a couple of Cardiologists who told me that I was old and this happened frequently to old people. Basically they told me to accept it and take my meds including a blood thinner. I refused the blood thinner because of their terrible record, my brother died the same day he hit his head and his blood thinner worked against him. Instead of the $400.00 copay for Eliquis (there are lots of other blood thinners, all equally dangerous), I ordered Solray Nattokinase/Serrapeptase, one per day. I’m a big researcher and found the book, “Beat Your A-Fib” on Amazon. I bought the book and in it I found suggestions regarding two supplements which I was not familiar with after all these years, and can help with the irregular heart beat and flutters, NaturaLife Labs Magnesium Glycinate, took 3 per day, no diarrhea and and Now brand Potassium Gluconate. 3 tsp. per day. The A-fib went away. Just to make sure that the problem was resolved I requested and “event monitor” from my cardiologist (don’t be afraid to ask). Then I had a Cryoablation by an electro physiologist (EP for short, cardiologist) to cure the problem. Neither of my first two cardiologist even told me about the Cryoablation, (protecting their turf?) If you are in an HMO this procedure is not likely to happen for you but if you have supplemental insurance or a PPO you can go without a referral to any EP as they are called. You can find them on the web, usually found in highly populated locations, (enter electrophysiologist.) In the above mentioned book it was stated that in order to have the procedure you would have to persevere and be bold because many folks ran into the same problem as I did with the first two cardiologists. If you have A-fib I would very highly recomment the book, “Beat Your A-Fib”. I got my life back with the Cryoablation procedure. Good luck.

So far, a life saver. No exaggeration. My quality of life has been so poor for so long. I’d been taking a different type of magnesium for over a year. It helped some, but nothing like this one. I had numerous issues, but not enough time to get into it all now (too busy catching up w/ life). The short version: severe sleep and cognitive issues, muscle spasms, and pain, resulting in anxiety and depression (duh). Hope I can remember to get back here and update this review, as I’m only on my first bottle. I did a lot f reading about magnesium before picking this one. It took a while to realize I needed a higher than recommended dose, too. Reviews from others helped. So grateful. But still, only giving 4 stars until I can tell if this is going to last or if it’s too good to be true, etc… fingers crossed. I highly recommend trying this product, and upping your dose as needed (within reason, of course). I’m currently taking 6-8 daily. Worth it. Shipping was great.I appreciate the purity and quality, too. For years, I took lots of “natural” supplements. Now, I eat as well as a can manage and only one other supplement. BTW, these are normal sized, easy to swallow capsules. .

Under a doctor’s supervision, my husband and I take magnesium, specifically magnesium glycinate because our doctor said that glycinate would not cause loose stools as much as, for example, magnesium citrate. I bought this brand initially because it had no added ingredients, such as magnesium stearate, and was simply magnesium glycinate in a vegetarian capsule; and I use vegetarian capsules myself to make my own supplements, for example organic turmeric in 00 sized vegetarian capsules. In addition I bought these because I need to take fewer capsules of these compared to, say, another likewise pure brand whose capsules contain 120 mg (this brand is 150 mg per capsule). Nonetheless, my doctor has me taking 7 capsules per day and my husband 2 capsules per day to maintain adequate magnesium (everybody’s different). Before I took magnesium glycinate, I got horrible leg cramps that woke me in the middle of the night, and I had to fizz some of the less desirable magnesium citrate in hot water to get instant cramp relief. Lots of current research is indicating magnesium L-threonate may be more desirable because it can pass the blood/brain barrier; and I would like to see this company provide magnesium L-threonate with some advice about equivalencies between glycinate and L-threonate to get the same muscle relaxing/cramp eliminating effects. I did try another company’s magnesium L-threonate on my own, and though the label indicated their three capsules were 2,000 mg of L-threonate whereas I take 1,050 of this company’s glycinate, nonetheless I experienced cramps taking what appeared to be a higher dosage; therefore I stopped my experiment. I must also say that since alcohol drives magnesium from the body, I take an additional eighth capsule of this magnesium glycinate if my husband and I enjoy, say, nice gin martinis (with organic gin of course); otherwise I get leg cramps. Some of my friends solved their problem with leg cramps by trying this magnesium glycinate on their own in increasing amounts until their cramps went away; but my doctor chose to do lab work and then start my husband and me on increasing amounts until lab test results indicated optimal dosage.
