It is unclear whether this Leaping Lynx Magnesium Bisglycinate supplement meets all of my requirements. It is made in the USA in a GMP-certified facility. According to the website, all of their products undergo lab testing but it is never stated that the testing is done by a third-party. It is important for lab testing to be completely impartial in order for me to trust the results. This supplement is vegetarian and vegan and is free of GMOs, gluten, dairy, and soy.
Leaping Lynx has a well-developed website but no social media presence. The website has a contact form available for customer assistance as well as an email address. The bottle includes a full address which GPS shows to be a commercial property in Wyoming. This is the same address as two other supplement brands that I recently purchased.

There are so many forms of Magnesium! I would suggest doing your own research, but here is why I’m a fan of this supplement:
Magnesium Glycinate: This is a favorite form of magnesium for me, for two reasons….It is well absorbed, and does not cause loose bowels. I will always have magnesium glycinate in my cabinet.
That being said, this formula does have a bit of Magnesium Oxide in it (which can sometimes have the loose bowel effect). But this formula does not have that effect on me at all, which tells me this formula contains primarily the Glycinate form.
The cost per dosage is very reasonable compared to similar quality magnesium supplements. Nothing negative to say on this one.

I had to look it up, turns out BISglycinate, diglycinate, and plain old glycinate are all the same thing when it comes to magnesium supplements: one molecule of magnesium attached to two of glycine. Leaping Lynx’s bottle of “Extra Strength Magnesium Glycinate 400mg, 120 Capsules, 60 Day Supply, High-Absorption Magnesium Bisglycinate Capsules, Supplement for Muscle, Heart, Nerve and Bone Support, Stress Relief & Sleep” contains 120 capsules.
The “supplement facts” for this product is very simple: the only nutrient is the titular magnesium bisglycinate at 400 mg per serving of 2 capsules, equating to 95% of daily value. Near these supplement facts the label prints an “Albion medallion”, which I guess signifies that Leaping Lynx (the marketer) obtains the capsules (or the nutritional materials) from Balchem Corporation, a multinational company based in New Jersey that specializes in nutritional chemistry.
Without much other information available, I believe this product delivers what it advertises in a no-frills product. The price of $20 for 60 servings is reasonable, although other supplements deliver more nutrients at the same price. I rate this four stars.
