These noodles cook quickly, have an amazing flavor and make the best cold pasta salad.

I was really excited to try these! I absolutely love noodle dishes and have tried many different types of noodles from protein noodles, turmeric noodles, wheat, rice, gluten free you name it. I take sun chlorella as a supplement and couldn’t wait to try these as a pasta! The flavor is so fresh, delicious and satisfying I can’t even tell you. I tried this as a ramen dish and I’m addicted. My husband was hesitant to try but now he’s singing it’s praises as well. Very nice quality product that is delicious for any style of meal. Will purchase again

I dont know how much chlorella is in this, but the resulting color is deep green. My rating is primarily on taste and how much I enjoyed it. I simply Love the taste. I eat everything, and I basically eat “all around the world”. I regularly make udon noodles, and while I have had chlorella, I had not had a noodle infused with it. The dry noodles have what makes me think of as a matcha aroma. Once cooked, I tried a few strands alone, with nothing added. I really liked it. The flavor is mild, more umami than an actual flavor. It is pleasantly salty (but very high, so watch out), and could very well be eaten alone, or with a little oil and other seasoning. Wanting to do something else with it, I decided to check out their recommendation for recipes, and went with their “Spicy Miso Chlorella Udon Noodles” recipe. Modified to what I happened to have on hand:
–1 serving (roughly 1/3 package) of these Udon noodles,
–a packet of freeze dried Miso,
–a crumbled up slice of silken tofu,
–a scoop of crunchy chili oil,
–a generous splash of Sesame Oil.
I used my 1.5 liter Hot Pot to make this in. I filled it halfway with water, brought to light boil, added these noodles. Let cook for a few minutes, partially drained (retained some water for use as broth), added everything above, stirred, and enjoyed. All within a few minutes, I had a wickedly good bowl of noodles that makes my tastebuds and heart sing. I wanted to make something else with this, but I loved it so much I made it daily until I was done with the package. I already want more. I think they may have a multi pack available. The packaging is very nice. Might make lovely addition to a foody themed gift basket. I know I would like it. 🙂
Loads of sodium with no added potassium to offset. So be mindful.
I normally prefer thick udon noodles, but these have a good mouth feel too. Love the dense chew (when not slurping!).
I doubt there is much chlorella in this. Lovely deep green appearance, but no indication of how much is used. SO I wouldnt buy this as a means to supplement with chlorella. But if you want a good (thin) udon noodle that cooks evenly, and tastes good even plain, I would say these are worth the try. Price is same here as on their website. I would consider these again. I also really like seeing GREEN in my dishes. I have a problem with too much “brown” food, though I can handle it in form of noodles. I think some of the appeal is because they have a wonderful deep green appearance once cooked.

When I showed these noodles to my husband, he got the great idea to make a dish out of them using a fresh pesto from our garden including the garlic!
COOKING
When cooked by the directions these noodles turned out perfectly. They had plenty of texture but still not undercooked.
FLAVOR
These noodles were perfect with the basil pesto. It was the perfect combination.
PHOTO
I could not take a photo, because everyone ate the noodles up before I had a chance to find my camera!
THE BOTTOM LINE
These were delicious. I would buy them again even though they are more expensive than I would normally pay.
MY RATING
FIVE STARS. These are wonderful. The dish we made with them was delicious and just writing about it makes me want to buy some more right now!

I really like these but I don’t think it’s for everybody. They are like Chlorella flavored noodles. They cook quickly 5 minutes. I like to throw a few in my miso soup. Maybe a little pricey for what you get.

Not sure why some reviewers are going after the amount of chlorella in this. It doesn’t have to be huge. I mean, look at the Vitamin D. 150%DV is quite a bit. Sure, you could take capsules, but those could be the same amount with filler.
The noodles are tasty, and with the salt (and high sodium) you don’t need to add any yourself. No more difficult to cook than normal pasta. Some people can’t cook normal pasta. That’s fine. No judging.
I love different colored pastas, so the green here is a lot of fun. Comes well packed in a sealed pouch inside a cardboard box. Good expiration. Product of Japan.

The texture makes me keep coming back, flavor is more unusual than your run of the mill wheat noodle and they cook up beautifully – especially as cold noodles they keep their texture – so I love to use them in peanut sauce- very delectable that way and my family and friends love them.as people mention- don’t add salt to the water – noodles don’t need them since they’re not bland. Keep in mind that’s why they’re more like the sea.
