I like Best Naturals brand because most of their supplements are corn free and I’m allergic. I got this Lutein to see if it helped my eyes. The quality of the tablets is good, no horrid odor or crumbling. I will continue taking these to see if they help my eyes and, if so, will buy these again.

These small orange tablets are easy to swallow. They just slip down with little water. The mixture of lutein and zeaxanthin is better them other formulations that have only lutein. I like these and will be using them in the future.

I started to take a Lutein supplement on the advice of an eye doctor who has followed the latest research on the subject matter. From the eye doctor, I learned that Lutein not only protects the eyes, specially the cones and rods of the photoreceptors, from damages caused by the blue light, but improves cognitive performance of the brain as Lutein is most concentrated in these areas of the body. During the first few days after taking the supplement, I seemed to see the trees clearer without eyeglasses at distance while walking on the sidewalk. I seemed to have less eye strain while working on the computer all day long. Perhaps, that could have been attributed to a good night sleep. Mentally, I seemed a bit more self aware. My night sleep quality seemed better too. I am not sure if all I have experienced are just the so-called placebo effects. It is possible that my body might adjust back to normal after some period of time, even with my continuous Lutein supplementation.

– Label has GMP stamp and claims 3rd party lab tested (however I haven’t seen the COA yet)
– *My big concern is that Best Naturals has had 4 products miserably fail 3rd party lab testing (ConsumerLab, Eurofins, & NOW Foods labs) in recent years.
I haven’t had any problem taking these, but I’m only giving 3 stars for now until I have a chance to view a COA from the company for this product to verify the capsules contain the amount claimed. If/when I receive that, I’ll revise my review accordingly.
