Immortelle Shea Pro-Youth Hand Care Serum-in-Cream Review (smaller gold color tube):
This cream feels really good on your skin, but it’s too soon to tell if the younger looking skin claims are true or not. The texture is like other normal creams (not too thick and not too thin). It absorbs into the skin pretty quickly but it’s a little greasy at first. It has a super strong perfume smell, which I don’t really like. The scent is not too bad, but it’s just way too strong.
Iconic Shea Butter Hand Cream Review (large silver color tube):
This cream is super thick and doesn’t absorb into your skin quick enough. It takes about 2 minutes to absorb, and you skin doesn’t really feel moisturized even after it absorbs and even if you use a lot of this. It’s also greasy and has a strong baby powder scent, which I really don’t like. After it absorbs into your skin, then there’s a slight floral perfume smell too. Also, I might be allergic to something in this cream. I have some dry spots on my wrists and knuckles that I was trying to heal with this, but after I tried this for a few days, those spots became itchy. I’ll keep testing to see.
Packaging:
The box is nice and simple and it would make a good gift. I like that the creams come in a tube instead of a tub, but I worry that I might lose the small caps. The foil tubes look nice and are different from the traditional plastic tubes. I wonder if they recycle better too.
Overall, I think this would make a nice gift but you have to make sure it’s for someone who doesn’t mind strong scents and likes baby powder and floral scents. It should also be for someone who doesn’t have really dry skin.

The LOCCITANE hand cream due comes in a nice gift box. This is the gold stand of luxury hand cream. I once received a small tube of this in a kit, and feel in love. These work wonders especially for my dry hands that go through many washes a day due to having pets. This set has two large tubes one Serum-in-Cream and one Iconic Shea Butter cream. This would be a great gift for anyone and any occasions.

This is a good deal to get 30% off of some of the most popular L’Occitane hand creams (at the time of this review). You get two full size products (5oz of the hand cream, 2.7oz of the hand serum) in a nice, giftable set.
The hand cream is thick and rich, with a baby powder scent with a hint of perfume under it. I have an issue with dry, cracked, and sometimes bleeding hands amd this soothed them for a couple of hours (similar to other hand creams I use for the issue), and left the parts of my hands not having the issue incredibly soft and moisturized. The serum cream is more of a thick lotion in consistency with a more perfumey scent. The serum cream did irritate my open cuts, but had a similar soothing effect on my hands, lasted several hours, and left my hands feeling hydrated and soft. It says to use the serum cream twice a say, while the hand cream has no number if suggested uses.
I’m new to both of these products and quite impressed with both of them. The serum cream I’ll be sure to only use if I have no open sores, but it’s always nice to find new products that work well with my hand issues, and these leave my hands softer than any other hand creams or lotions I regularly use.
(OK, I have to agree with others that the box does not stand up to envelopes in the mail, and you might have to re-wrap it if you’re giving it as a gift.)

These are really thick, heavy, rich moisturizing creams. They are healing, that’s true, if used nightly over time. But neither absorbs fully and that makes them tricky to use except at nighttime. In fact, I did the old trick of using the creams and then wearing 100 percent cotton gloves at night to keep them creams from smearing. So if you are looking for something to dab on after washing your hands, these might be too thick/sticky.
Also, there was no protective seal or tamper resistant covers, and the box they came in was beat up. If I had I ordered them to give as a gift, I would have been upset at the presentation. Since I used them myself, I didn’t mind the battered box but I was concerned over the lack of any kind of tamper resistant coverage. For the price, you’d think the product could have some kind of protective seal. I did small tests to see if any hint of adulteration and they both seemed fine.
Both have scents–pleasant, yes, but still a perfume if you don’t like wearing added scent.
I am not sure why they would cost so much even though they are basically good products. As a vine participant, I did not have to pay for them and am glad for the chance to try them out. These are my honest opinions.

Review for: L’OCCITANE Nourishing & Age-Defying Advanced Hand Duo Holiday Gift Set: Featuring Immortelle Shea Pro-Youth Hand Care Serum-in-Cream & Iconic Shea Butter Hand Cream
—————
Since around age 20 when I had an office job dealing with lots of paper, I called my dried hands “old lady hands.” Thirty years later, I really do have old lady hands. These lotions are wonderful and soothing on my dry skin. I haven’t used it enough to know if the gold one is actually making my hands look younger, but I can say that they are more hydrated without any thick or greasy layering on my skin.
TIP for others with sweaty hands: Put the lotion on the top of your hand, then rub the top of both hands together without using your palms.

Very moisturizing lotion set. A tiny bit goes a long way and these are a fairly large size so they will last a long time.
Both are VERY fragrant. The silver lotion is more baby powdery and the gold serum is a strong perfumy scent. It is reminiscent of a “grandma” scent to me and honestly a little strong for my liking. I’ll probably use this as a nighttime soak-it-in lotion so I don’t have to smell it much during the day.
