I’m happy with how the product helps form and hold nice curls but the scent is too powerful. It does subside several hours later, but it’s pretty unpleasant at first.

I purchased this to try for the 1st time after reading MANY reviews. I make it a point to filter reviews by “most recent “, not the default “top reviews “, because I want to read the good and the bad. That said, I felt I had to try it. For reference, being of mixed culture (German, Italian and Spanish) I have very thick and naturally curly hair, but my hair texture is literally similar to Horse hair…seriously! So, I have been trying many, MANY different things to keep my curls cork screw like, meaning, I have to use things not to heavy and not to light to keep the shape and bounce of my curls. To make matters more interesting, I have long hair, it’s lengthy to mid back, but layered and ALWAYS thinned, to keep weight off my hair. So, I ALWAYS mix items….I prefer creams over gels, bc gels tend to fuzz and flake, and creams don’t do that with my hair texture. So, I gave this a shot, and I will say, I am very pleased all around. I LOVE the fragrance of this, and it goes well with another curl cream I use for styling. I need LOTS of product, bc I have enough hair on my head for 5 people, LITERALLY😳, so a dime size amount doesn’t do anything for me….I use handfuls times 3 or 4. This product smells absolutely lovely, and it coils my curls as it should. There is no weigh down due to heaviness of product and no flakes either. I like it so much, I have 2 bottles on standing delivery every 2 weeks now…..I told you I go through a lot of hair products 🤭 thanks to all the people taking time to review items, I make my decision off those more often than not.

I have extremely fine, 2C/3A waves/curls that I was really struggling to keep hydrated and defined this winter. Suddenly my usual routine was just not cutting it and I had tried what felt like EVERYTHING to bring some life back to my hair. I found out about this product from a Cosmopolitan article talking about products for fine, textured hair and I decided to give it a go. I am SO GLAD I did!! This product does exactly what it says it does: gives you light as a feather, soft as a pillow curls. My hair is hydrated and shiny and there is ZERO crunch or greasy residue. The smell is a bit strong when going on, but doesn’t linger in an overpowering way; you’re just gonna smell super clean.
What has worked the best for me is
1. immediately combing my hair with a detangling comb after I get out of the shower
2. re-wetting my hair with a spray bottle so it’s dripping wet
2. putting a pea sized amount on my finger tips and then rubbing my hands together before flipping my hair and scrunching throughout the ends; you want your hair to make a squelching sound as you distribute the product
3. standing back upright and scrunching through the outer layers but not putting it too close to the scalp to avoid build up over time
4. then doing another pass with a microfiber towel to remove excess water and lock in the shape of the curls
5. air drying!
This product really has been revolutionary for me and I’ve been recommending it to all of my curly-haired friends. It is on the pricier side for a hair product, but the bottle is so big and a little goes a long way, so I really see myself not needing to repurchase for at least 6 months (and that’s with washing my hair every other day). 10/10 recommend!

I was looking for something for my daughter to help define her curls without weighing it down. This takes away all the frizz and defines her curls perfectly. Her curls look amazing and her hair looks actually curly instead of a frizzy (but always beautiful) mess.
I have a feeling you all will love it as much as i do!
Keep in mind it does have a different scent slightly like clean laundry but i don’t dislike it! it’s just a nice clean smell. This bottle is also super huge!

My skin/scalp is annoyingly sensitive and flares up for EVERYTHING except Miss Jessie’s. Some products even make my hands flare up, but I have yet to experience that since I started using pillow soft curls again. Idk why I ever stopped lol smells fresh and clean too. Not a thick, oily consistency so I can still use shea butter without making my hair greasy – unless your hair is just naturally really greasy or something, you will likely need to use shea butter too because it seems like there’s almost no oil in the product. Again not a bad thing, allows me to minimize the oiliness!
Only thing is it doesn’t hold or help with frizz but personally idc about that, I’m happier when my hair is big and wild. Quite expensive too but worth it.

This hair cream is great! The product is not sticky and tacky and great to just let your hair air dry. The curls are amazing and Pillow soft curls make the styling of these curls so much easier. I love the consistency and thickness of these curls cream and the curl hold is amazing. I sent to a friend and they have ordered after seeing the results! I’d give it 10 stars 🌟

The product promises big, soft curls that aren’t ramen-noodle thin or crunchy, and a scent like fresh laundry, and it delivers on all of those. The scent didn’t last past drying, though, and the hold unfortunately didn’t last all day for me, so it would probably need additional styling products to get that all-day hold, which might render the non-crunchiness moot or affect the kind of curls it delivers. Different hair types might have less of an issue – I’m between a 2B and 2C curl, with healthy, non-coarse hair. It also darkened my hair somewhat and left it looking less clean. Still, it did a great job of delivering maximum curl for me, and did it without getting hard or sticky, so I’ll play around with quantity to see how it affects my results.
