I’ve bought the classic Kikumasamune High Moist many times, and really do love it for its moisturizing/hydrating properties and low price. I thought I’d branch out and try something new. This has much more body than classic Kiku and is more moisturizing, too.
I have mature dehydrated skin that tends to be combination. I’ll get dry in winter and oilier in summer, but almost always dehydrated. This is so moisturizing I barely need any moisturizer in summer, but makes a great base for moisturizer in winter. I’ve had hardly any very dehydrated days with this (i.e. where my skin feels tight and crinkly). This also works great on the body for those who don’t need a rich body lotion/cream.
I do find this gives a nice glow and it sits well under makeup. Because it’s much thicker than High Moist Kiku, it doesn’t work well in a spray bottle. Thankfully, the improved pumps mean this works well enough that way. It’s almost closer to an emulsion or an essence than a classic Japanese toner.
Overall, I’d recommend for dry and dehydrated skin as a base under moisturizer.

以前、ピンクの高保湿タイプを使用して肌に合っていたので、改めて商品を検索してみるとエイジングケア用には赤がいいとのことで購入してみました。
使い始めの数回は若干アルコールの香りがしましたが、そのあとは全く気になりません。
テクスチャーはとろっとしていて、肌なじみもいいです。容量も大きく、ポンプタイプで使い勝手もいいです。

It’s good quality and the smell is not as bad as people say it is. It’s very hydrating and gives a nice glow. I like this brand in general.

i wanted to buy the bright moist but they did not had it on amazon and decided to purchase this one after much hope but it was too much thick and made my face super oily. i have combo skin and since winter is coming and my skin is getting drier i though this might help but nooo. don’t even try if you have combo skin or oily skin never. it made me so uncomfortable i washed my face after thirty min. might be wonder for dry skin though. but the smells is strong at first couple of minute but does dissapear.

Kikumasamune Japanese Sake Glossy Moisture Lotion is an ultra-hydrating toner made by sake. It features Kikumasamune’s famed dry sake which is naturally rich in amino acid to hydrate, soothe, smooth and brighten skin, keeping the skin to be moistened from deep within.

I usually like light texture but I like this one. Thick on my hand but sinks in on my face fast and does not have heavy or greasy feeling afterwards. I use it everyday. Even my son who has light eczema use it for his hands when they become dry.

This is a great lotion for face and body. Very moisturising. A bit sticky and smells like sake but i don’t need moisturiser afterwards. I have tried many sake products throughout my life and this is my favourite! I use this for my body everyday and have repurchased 5 bottles already within a year. For the price, you cannot beat this.

This lotion is better than all of the rest of this line. It goes onto your skin like a satin glove. There is no stickiness like what you get from the High Moist version. It is very soothing and the moisture stays for a long while. I honestly didn’t know what to expect because I always used the high moist version. But trust me the Glossy Moist is 1000000% better than the High Moist version. I’m about to repurchase right now cause it felt soooooo good to my irritated skin. This is a holy grail find!

I just really love the way this smells so I’ll keep using it, but it seemed really tacky or sticky a few seconds after applying. However, it does finally dry and leaves the skin smooth. I use it as an all over body toner under a skin treatment cream, but it’s also very nice as a light moisturizer on hands and feet. I haven’t put it on my face yet so I can’t speak to that.
