This body lotion is a lot. It is moisturizing and goes on thick and lasting. It also appears to have sparkles in it? It shines. It’s not really subtle. The scent, if you like it, is wonderful. However, this is not for people who are sensitive to scents or for wearing around people who are sensitive to scent. Otherwise this is great for every day use if you don’t mind being a little shinier and smell like you’re perfumed. Works for me.

This Cosmétiques Créatifs Pink Opal Moisturizing Body Lotion with Coconut Butter and Hyaluronic Acid (8.5 fl. oz./250 mL) smells really nice! I was very curious how the scent of Water Jasmine would blend with Cashmere Wood & Sandalwood, and I find that I really like it. Depending on how much you’re applying, the scent isn’t actually overwhelming. It has a warm, slightly floral scent, like I’m wrapped in a cashmere blanket. Since this is a scented lotion, those sensitive to scents should stick with fragrance-free options. It’s cold right now where I live, so the scent is only noticeable once I get within a few inches. (Maybe for others who run hot or live in warmer climates, the scent might travel more strongly.) I love the pale pink color of the lotion, and the subtle shimmer it leaves behind. Very pretty!

I used this for the first time while my husband was out of town and I kept texting him that I smelled amazing. I do not typically like the smell of Jasmine fragrance, so I was expecting to not like this scent and put off trying it because of that. If you think that you do not like Jasmine, this does not smell the same as that overly sweet floral “fake” Jasmine scent. This lotion is thick. In fact it is so thick that when I started trying to pump it out of the bottle, I thought that the pump was broken because it is a little thick to be dispensed via pump. I love the way that this feels on and noticed a difference in my skin after the first use. I shower at night and put on lotion right out of the shower. I typically do not smell the lotion the next morning, but this has a light, lingering fragrance that is so pleasant. I will continue to use until I am scraping the last little bits of this product out of the bottle.

Wife’s review: I was surprised how shiny this lotion is. It’s pretty but maybe not great for everyday use. The smell is nice but a little strong.

the smell itself is probably great if you like the smell. i dont. and it lasts sooooo long. it clashes with all my other fragrances and i feel like i could smell it all day. is feels really nice but the smell and the fact it has glitter in it makes me a lot less likely to reach for it.

Man, I wish Amazon would allow foul language in reviews bc I can hardly describe how strong this scent was without throwing some f-bombs around. Like, y’all, when this first arrived, I couldn’t get the pump to work for a while, so I unscrewed the top to take whiff. My boyfriend, who was like 12 feet away in the kitchen with his back turned, almost immediately goes, “Whoa! Did you get some perfume??”
Because of the overpowering scent, it almost didn’t matter what scent it was, bc I wouldn’t be able to use this stuff, anyway. HOWEVER. I did not like this scent. At all. To my nose, it was a cloying and heavy and pungent combo of flowers and funk, like someone used their giant sweaty armpit to compress an entire florist’s shop into an ultradense scent nugget, and dropped it into this bottle.
Reading other reviews, I am clearly the exception.
Listen, I know lots of people out there like intense floral musky scents. I am not one of those people. But if you are, this lotion might work for you.

Big fan of this body lotion. The dreamy coconut butter scent and subtle shimmer alone are addictive, but it’s the lightweight, long-lasting moisture that truly seals the deal for me. Didn’t irritate any of my sensitive skin spots and absorbs fairly fast without leaving a greasy or sticky feeling on the skin.

Overall Rating: 2 stars (below average) – I’m very sensitive to fragrance, and for me the scent of Cosmétiques Créatifs Pink Opal Moisturizing Body Lotion is far too strong. I also have sensitive skin, and there are several ingredients that may cause irritation. Finally given that there was next to no quality information available, I consider this to be a below average product.

Quality: average – Distributed by Ecologia in IL. Made in Bulgaria, and bunny friendly. Website is “under construction”, so no additional quality information available.
Note: Given the lack of testing requirements for cosmetics, and the often unsubstantiated claims for efficacy, I typically evaluate them based primarily on ingredients and quality. Although I may reference my personal experience, there are simply too many individual variables to determine how it’ll work on each person.
