the tan from this is so so so good. it’s for sure better than the jergens. but.. the scent is really really potent. it smells just like the chocolate scented chapstick from my youth, or the hot coco hand cream from bath and body works… i have to put it on at night and then shower it off in the morning so i don’t smell like this in public…

Very happy with the usual and familiar real cocoa butter scent, with a very small hint of “tanner smell” as the day went on. Showed results within 6 hours. Was closer to a regular self tanner than a gradual one for me – much higher chance of streaking/staining unintended areas if you arent careful. But gives a beautiful natural looking tan to my freckled olive skin. Really helps even out the mega farmers tan from all these coronavirus walks, lol. Bf says my legs are “glowing” and “why do people use weird orange sprays when this exists and looks real??” Just wish the bottle was a larger size for the price. Great product.

Not really happy with the product . Turned my hands orange. I washed them right afterwards plus used a nail brush on my hands . Luckily it did wear off after a couple of days. I had white spots on my arms where my pores are. Felt heavy on the skin when applied.

Been using this brand for years before all the mainline ones came out. It works very well, but if you have very dry, old skin like I do you have to moisturize first to get a smooth coverage.

I am always looking for the latest and greatest self tanning options. The problem is that most of them leave that infamous odor that seems to linger until your next shower. While this product is not a self tanner per se, I have always loved Palmers Cocoa Butter and have used it since I was younger. So I thought I would give this product a try and boy and I glad I did! While you will notice a slight change in skin tone after one use (I am fair skinned), if you use it over the course of several days it really looks like you have a tan. And the best part is there is no yucky odor! It actually smells identical to the original cocoa butter. And the color lasts for several days. I will definitely buy this product again and again!

Silly enough, I was hoping this lotion would give me a gradual tan with a minimal self-tan scent, hoping it would mostly smell like the regular Palmers lotion I’m obsessed with; this isn’t it. Smells terrible. Not something I can put on out of the shower, get a gradual tan, and not be grossed out by the smell. My bra and all clothing stinks and needs to be washed, and it takes much longer than others to soak in and dry down. This isn’t for me! I’ve tried MANY, and the best of the best is Banana Boat, Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion, Deep Dark Color.
