I got this to help with body acne and instead of getting rid of it, it actually made it worse almost instantly. 2 washes and I had completely broken out. Would not recommend.

i ordered the dragon’s blood anti-blemish lotion, and as soon as i unboxed the bottle, i noticed that the dispenser arm had broken off the lid in transit due to the product only being wrapped in bubble wrap. the pump still works fine, but the lotion comes out a hole in the side of the lid where the dispenser arm is meant to be. for $30+ i just think the product could benefit from a packaging redesign.
second, i’m not a huge fan of the scent of this product. its overly sweet berry smell is a little like an artificial blue jolly rancher, or something that gives me distinct glitterbomb flashbacks from Club Libby Lu circa 2006. it’s not awful, but it’s not something that i, a woman in her late twenties, particularly want to wear to her office job. if the scent was maybe a little more subtle, i’d be totally for it.
having said all that! i had a breakout on my leg and after one application of this lotion, the swelling and redness had gone down *significantly*. after the second application, the breakout had completely cleared up!

I try to treat my body with the same great ingredients as my face, but in less steps because I’m lazy. I found this glycolic acid body lotion and since it was cheaper than others on the market (and vegan!) I thought I’d give it a try. First, the smell is AMAZING! It is fairly strong, so beware for anyone who is sensitive to fragrance. You can feel a little tingling from the AHA’s, but it’s really subtle and it went away for me once it absorbed. Even using a small amount once every few days this seems to be keeping my KP at bay, though for extremely dry areas with flaking skin I have to put an extra layer on to make sure it can help smooth it out. The texture is pretty nice (it feels thick and creamy I’m assuming because of the shea butter) and it spreads out very easily, but kind of sits on top of the skin for a bit longer than a normal lotion, but it does absorb eventually. I only apply this at night with this having AHA’s, so the absorption doesn’t impact me. My biggest complaint and the only hiccup that makes me hesitant to buy this again is once you rub it into your skin, it leaves your skin with a sticky/tacky feeling. Like enough to where you kind of feel like a sticky tape roll because if you bump into anything with fur or lint, it will stick to your skin. I hope they will reformulate this to make it less sticky, but my solution is to wear pajamas with long sleeves, so I’m not sticking to my sheets when I get in bed and by the time I wake up in the morning the tackiness is pretty minimal. I’d say it’s worth the try if you’re looking for an exfoliating lotion because I know I’m personally pretty picky about any tackiness, so it may not impact other people as much.

Edit: the company reached out to me and sent a replacement. The replacement is lovely! I don’t know what happened to the first bottle. Maybe it was in the warehouse too long? Their customer service was top notch and much more than I expected. The replacement even arrived faster than I anticipated. This lotion is very hydrating and feels luxurious. I’m really glad they reached out. I’m legitimately impressed with how they handled this issue.
This is supposed to smell like raspberry, right? Because all I smell is wet ashtray (that might have had a moldy raspberry smooched into it). I cannot stand the smell. I am so disappointed because the ingredients look awesome and I love the way it feels on my skin. So many reviews mention a raspberry smell that I think I might have got a bad batch. For the price of this lotion, I expect that to never happen.

I was so excited to try this lotion because I love truly and all of the other products I have of theirs are amazing! I was super disappointed when because it smells like some old musty fruit and I don’t think I will even be able to stand the smell to use it.
