I’d like to start by saying that is lotion is a fantastic moisturizer. It goes on smooth, makes skin feel great, not greasy nor drying. It’s also made here in the US! Wasn’t something I was looking for when I started my lotion search, but was a nice added bonus. While I never hesitate buying items that are sold or made by over sees companies, I always love supporting “locally” owned and operated businesses.
My one issue with the lotion is the scent. It doesn’t smell bad by any means. However, I was specifically looking for a lotion that smelled like caramel and I purchased it based on the reviews essentially stating it smelled true to the Caramel Candy name, which it does not. Instead, to me it smells like sweetened sunscreen, both in the bottle and on skin.
If that sounds like a scent that you would like, I recommend, if not I might try one of their lotions with a different fragrance.

i’ve been on the search for a true vanilla smell and this is the one! i can smell it on my skin all day long. smells exactly like vanilla extract. in the beginning of putting it on it leaves a white cast on me but it does soak in and goes away. great moisture and lightweight. it does leave your skin a little sticky till it dries. amazing quality. highly recommend.

EDIT: I think I just got a bad batch, I messaged the sellers directly through their website, and immediately got a response. They said there hasn’t been any recipe change, and sent me another bottle free of charge, as well as a travel size of the baby powder scent. The bottle they sent was just as it usually is! The baby powder is great as well, smells very clean, and is very moisturizing as well. I will continue to recommend this to everyone!
INITIAL REVIEW: I swore by this lotion for years, but the last shipment I received was completely different. The texture is more watery, it doesn’t absorb into my skin, and there’s no vanilla fragrance at all. Seems like a completely different lotion. I’m not sure if it was from a bad batch, or if there was a recipe change? This used to be my absolute favorite lotion, I’m so disappointed.

This product smells and feels amazing. It’s a very smooth and light lotion, which is just what I needed. It seems like it would be from an expensive brand, but it’s super affordable. My only complaint is that you have to look really hard for the ingredients. This lotion contains macadamia nut oil, and I didn’t see that anywhere until the lotion arrived. I have a nut allergy, but thankfully I don’t have topical reactions. Someone who has more severe allergies, I would recommend you zoom in on all pictures and make sure you know every single ingredient before buying. Other than that, this lotion smells and feels perfect.

Let me start by saying that I JUST received my order so I haven’t even done more than test a little on my arm (that I can’t stop smelling!!) but I opened the bottle to smell it first and my immediate reaction was “oh my god” 😍 This is the scent I’ve been looking for!! I’ve been a vanilla girly forever now and never seem to like the scents everyone raves about but this?? It’s giving edible goodness. It’s sweet but not in a juvenile way and it’s highly scented but not cloying. First impression of the consistency is perfect – lightweight but moisturizing without any greasy feeling. The bottle is a really good size for the price & quality as well. Long story short, The Lotion Company has a new fan.

I’ve only tried vanilla bean because I have too many lotions, but this is my favorite body lotion I’ve ever tried. I have dry, sensitive skin that’s eczema and KP prone. This lotion not only smells amazing but it makes my skin soooo soft and absorbs well. Love that aloe is a main ingredient. I’m usually reliant on petrolatum so I’m impressed that it’s so nourishing without it. I want to try the fragrance free for my face and get some of the other scents.
