I noticed that my 8 year old cats eyes have been watering for a week or two so I was looking for something to help strengthen his immune system. I read that L-Lysine is great for that so I got some of this powder to try out.
He is quite fussy so I have been mixing just a little into his food, it seems to be helping but its still a little too early to say. Product is made in the USA and contains a few other key ingredients like taurine, cystine, methionine.

I loved the concept of this, a flavored Lysine supplement that may be more palatable for my cats. They hated it. We tried mixing it in or sprinkling it on top of their favorite canned foods. They rejected it every time. I threw it away.

cats eat it just fine in their food

The outdoors cats just licked it right up by itself. Sprinkled on their food didn’t seem to be a problem either. Probably better mixed with wet food but will work with dry in a pinch, just needs more to get the same dosage.
While it is somewhat expensive, there’s quite a few servings in the container. And since the cats eat it, it’s much more effective than my previous method of pulverizing lysine tablets which are pretty bitter.

I’m reluctant to give 5 stars even though a seemingly good product, Made in America, and a trusted brand. Not one of my cats (I have 7 who typically prefer wet) liked it, unfortunately. 🙁 They immediately sensed something was off and left their plate of food which they normally devour. I ended up putting it outside for my managed feral colony of 4 and they ate it right up. I then went to visit my best friend who has a room of foster cats at the moment. We added 1 scoop to each serving on one large plate, and 2 scoops (which is the recommended amount) per serving on another large plate to test. They ate it all; both plates licked clean! My thought was that the 2 scoop serving is just too much powder and can’t be hidden well, thus my super spoiled cats wanted nothing to do with it. But those who have had a harder time in life seem to have NO issue and are just happy to eat a good meal. Plus, they’re the ones who need the benefits of L-Lysine most, right?

Easy to use with soft food, cats didn’t seem to mind at all

Trying to give the strays preventative medicine so I ordered this to sprinkle in their food.
So far so good.
They don’t mind eating it or can’t tell it’s in their food because they chow down as usual.
As far as being effective, time will tell. It’s too soon now.
I have 10 strays I feed so one container won’t last as long as I’d like.
For under $20 it’s not bad but unfortunately I can’t afford it every couple weeks with the volume I’m serving.

Got this for my mom’s 12 outdoor/feral cats. A lot of them have crusty eyes and snotty noses and I thought this would help. It arrived in time for breakfast feeding. So that’s a plus. I mixed 2 scoops into their kibble. Most of them are skeptical of the food now. I’m hopeful they will get used to it. But the racoons ate the kibble and licked the bowl clean. I gave 3 stars for the fast delivery, but it’s to early to tell how effective it is.
