    I’ve been taking ashwaghanda for over a year now. I’ve been trying out different brands. My main reason I started using it was to help with my self diagnosed depression. The one thing I noticed when I initially started using ashwaghanda is that it really helped with my sleep. I would sleep so good with vivid dreams. In some brands my sleep would be extraordinary. Some brands left me feeling really calm. Then there were some brands that I really didn’t feel the affect at all. It’s suppose to help with pain and I don’t think any of them have helped me with that.

    I have been using this one for about 2 weeks or so. While it does help me feel more calm and positive…giving me an overall sense of peace, it has not been very good with my sleep. I still have restless sleep.

    So overall I am happy with the calmness it gives me, I just really wish it helped with my sleep.

    i followed the recommended serving on the back of the container initially, then increased to doing that twice per day, and have consumed the whole bottle now. I have not had any negative side effects.

    This is an adaptogen, something that is supposed to help our bodies adapt to stress more easily, so i believe it’s worth pointing out that, in addition to each of us being different, there are different periods in our lives where i believe it makes sense to take higher amount of this supplement compared to other points in our life. So if you aren’t feeling any benefit… i’d suggest doing research about different recommended dosages and don’t just stick to what the bottle says.

    I have not noticed any changes in my sleep, but i didn’t expect to. I think that i would need to take a really high dosage of this in order to actually feel like i was getting a benefit for sleep, so i take melatonin and 5htp to help with sleep. I think that even though i don’t notice a benefit regarding sleep, the way adaptogens work, this ashwagandha might have helped my body be more restful, but it’s not like “take one at bedtime to sleep better”… it’s more that taking this on a regular basis will help my body adapt to stress better, and over time I’ll be less “wound up” at bedtime.

    Similarly to how ashwagandha can help me feel less wound up at bed time, it has made me be more responsive to the things i need to get done throughout the day… by calming my system down enough that when new things pop up, i can gather the energy to tackle the next thing… as opposed to feeling like my system has already exerted all the energy i have.

    As i used this supplement, i did feel like i was able to follow through on a higher percentage of the things “i meant to do” as compared to before i started taking this.

    These are easy to swallow, high quality supplements that really help with my anxiety and joint pain. I switched from my usual brand to these and didn’t notice any decrease in effectiveness so I know they work! They’re much easier to swallow that my old ones, which were horse capsules.

    I unfortunately had to stop taking these due to some other medical issues. I can’t really say if they had any positive or negative affects due to the other medications I’ve been taking and symptoms I was experiencing.
    I do recommend checking with your doctor before you start taking these as there have not been any actual studies completed on the supplement but lots of “reports” of affects that these can have, both positive and negative. I can’t tell anyone to buy these or not buy them, just talk to your doctor ahead of time.
