I am very pleased with the results after using these capsules, in fact I’m ecstatic! Good for diabetics with neuropathy. I take 1600 mg daily. When I quit taking for a while, I start having numbness in toes.

I have chronic nerve pain after gastric bypass surgery in 2003. After 2 years of digging around to determine the cause of pain I was diagnosed with rectus sheath syndrome – basically, the nerves are stuck in scar tissue. The pain has been rather unbearable. My current regime the Pain Clinic has me on consists of Lyrica, Methadone, and a spinal nerve stimulator. The pain is around a 4 out of 10 and gets up to a 7/8 when it is times for another dose of Methadone.
I started to see an Integrative Doc for some other issues and she recommended Benfotiamine in addition to Alpha Lipoic Acid. She said the combination is needed for the pain relief. I have noticed a difference. My pain is typically a 3 out of 10 and gets up to a 6/7 when it is time for my pain meds.

As a side note, if you haven’t visited a pain clinic and your pain is intense enough, check it out! They had me go through biofeedback (absolutely one of the most important things for me in which I learned that stress to pain is like lighting a match to gasoline), accupuncture, physical therapy, massage, chiropractic care, and nerve block injections.
