I have pain in my knees upon standing, sitting and climbing steps. My doctor told me it was arthritis. I have taken a cocktail of sorts: glucosamine, tumeric, hyaluronic acid and chondroitin over the years, and I have experienced some relief. Yes, I do light exercise and stretching. The pain subsided, but I still thought out every move especially when I had to bend my knees to assume various positions. I read about Krill Oil in Life Extension Magazine and I saw the study they did, with the possible results. I went on line and read other people’s experience, results and testimonies, so I figured try it, all I’ve got to lose is the arthritis. Well, it has been wonderful. My movements are a lot easier and more fluid and I don’t find myself plotting and planning how to get out of a chair. I still take my cocktail and exercise, but to be pain free to do the exercise is a giant plus. Is this for everyone? Of course not, but if you are not allergic to shell fish, you may want to give it a try. You may be pleasantly surprised at the results. No, I did not have a problem swallowing the pills and no it did not make me burp or give off a fishy odor.
Ps. delivery was quick.

Had ordered this supplement at least a month ago and couldn’t remember why I wasn’t using it.
Added it to my daily supplements only to find it impossible to swallow. Something about the shape of the capsule which resembled a small olive. Kept coughing it up over and over, no matter how much water I added to facilitate swallowing. Some of my other supplements have larger capsules, but not this shape.
Been a customer at Life Extension for many many years and have been
disappointed by their products only a couple of times. This is one of those times.

I have had rheumatoid arthritis for thirty years. I’ve been on all sorts of things–non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, steroids, methotrexate, Plaquenil, biologics (which worked well for a couple years, then stopped working), Rituxan. All had varying nasty side-effects, and the biologics and Rituxan were enormously expensive. Although my insurance paid the costs of everything, it was still guilt-inducing to have medication that cost on the order of $60,000 a year just to move without pain.
Then I found Life Extension krill oil. I gradually realized that this particular brand of krill oil, and only this brand, (I’ve tried four or five other brands) seemed to reduce my rheumatoid arthritis symptoms. So I began experimenting with it and upping my dosage. I take two Life Extension krill in the morning and two at night, and it works magnificently. For the past year, I’ve taken no other medication for the rheumatoid arthritis, other than an occasional Motrin or Ibuprofin if I’ve eaten something (cheese is my downfall) that causes a temporary flair.
I asked my medical school student soon-to-be-doctor daughter what was going on. She looked over the copious literature referenced by the Life Extension folks, and in her opinion, there was really only one medical study that seemed to provide some worthwhile insight about what I was experiencing. The study she pointed to was a small study related to mice, so it’s not like it’s a definitive study at all, especially for humans. But it seems that what is going on (I’m translating this into terms that I could understand) is that the processing methods used by the Life Extension brand for their particular type of krill oil make available to the body a particular type of substance that serves to block toxic anti-inflammatory products from getting into cells.
I’ve hesitated over the past year about posting anything, because you know how it is. Something can seem to work well, and you get all excited about it, but then it turns out that it wasn’t nearly as good after a while as you had originally thought it was. Well, this has been going on for over a year now that this particular brand of krill oil has been working a miracle for me. I’m off ALL other medication (other than the occasional rare Motrin or Ibuprofin). Can you imagine? From a sixty thousand dollar a year set of drug infusions (Rituxan)–cancer chemotherapy agents that left me feeling ill and cloudy-brained–to a relatively inexpensive over-the-counter medication that does a far better job with zero side-effects. Wow!
If I happen to not take the Life Extension krill oil for a few days, the rheumatoid arthritis symptoms come right back, so it’s definitely the Life Extension krill oil. (Other krill oils do not have any effect like this on me.) I had first noticed a modest improvement in my rheumatoid arthritis symptoms when I took a single krill oil capsule, which is what got me to start experimenting with more krill oil. I’ve settled on four capsules a day as being exactly what I need to block all rheumatoid arthritis symptoms. It’s possible now that maybe I could back down to three or even two capsules, but I’m hesitant to play around with something that’s so incredibly successful.
I just can’t believe after all these years that I’ve finally found something over-the-counter that works so beautifully for my rheumatoid arthritis. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, I’d strongly recommend giving this a try. Everybody’s different, of course, but if it works for you like it worked for me, you’ll be very happy. I hope more research might be done on this oil as an effective, inexpensive treatment for rheumatoid arthritis–for me, it’s been an absolutely amazing breakthrough.

I wanted to try this as it is Krill for joints to see if it is any better than just Krill oil. It has a very strong fish odor so either hold you nose while in your mouth or don’t breathe in while putting it in your mouth. I also recommend taking this with a liquid heavier than water or tea. I take mine with chocolate milk, which helps to cover the fish smell and taste afterward. It’s too soon to see if it’s been beneficial to my joints, esp. knees, but if it makes a difference after the 30 days, I will update this review. Also, I like that it is a small gel cap and only one per day.

34yr old guy. I lift a lot but unfortunately my joints and ligaments are not very strong. For me, cissus (for relieving the inflammation) and krill oil seem to work better than those famous joint supplements like glucosamine, msm, and chondroitin. I feel like krill oil is way better than fish oil in terms of improving joint health. I’m quite lazy so I don’t really leave a review a lot, but this is a pleasant experience.
The Victors –
I have to agree with another reviewer who has RA because I believe krill is the best thing I’ve ever used for RA. I absolutely love this stuff I would cry so bad if for some reason it was ever discontinued because this is the only product that has kept me pain free. I do use this in combination with Life Extension arthro max advanced these two products are amazing I refuse to take any cancer drugs or put bad things in my body for RA. Thank the Lord for Life Extension I don’t know what I would do without them. My joints no longer swell I don’t wake up in pain anymore and I’m not extremely tired all the time. Anyone who is on the fence please try this it took about a month or so before I felt a difference I was ready to give up but thankfully I kept going and it was all worth it because this stuff is amazing. I just want to thank the other reviewer who has had RA for 30 years because I wouldn’t have tried this if it weren’t for her review thank you so much.since this review I’ve ordered 24 bottles for my husband and myself for a full year because I found it at a good price. That’s how much I stand behind this product.
