Echinacea has always been my go-to immunity booster. When caught early enough, I’ve had good success reducing cold issues by using this herb—it’s an excellent way to stimulate the immune system. I like this particular formula for several reasons: it incorporates roots from E. angustifolia and plant pieces from E. purpurea, and comes from a trusted supplement brand.
This is a great supplement to have handy in the cupboard when added immunity support is needed. Echinacea isn’t something I take on a daily basis, so I appreciate the long shelf life. My bottle expires in about two years’ time.

I found this effective for…well cannot tell you AmaZOn says nuh-uh…so this brand is good for some things which are not told to you in this “review”…So, whatever brand you buy of Echinacea, might not be buying the known quality of Life Extension…And in so doing you may be “extending” the uh…”issue”…hand me a tissue. I’ve always heard about the benefits of echinacea over the years, but this cold and flu season I decided to try it for myself. From what I understand, Echinacea is supposed to help strengthen one’s immune response in fighting off viruses and infection. It is also supposed to have a positive effect reducing inflammation in the body. As a short term user of this product (1-2 weeks so far) here is what I can say so far. First, you should always ask your doctor if a medicine or herbal remedy is safe for you, since everyone’s body is different, and taking echinacea too long or with liver issues for example, may not be the best idea. In my personal experience, I can say I have had no adverse effects from this product. It is a regular sized pill, no real scent to it, and it is fairly easy to swallow. It has not upset my stomach. I am hopeful that it will help me have to take less sick days off this cold season, as I work alongside lots of people and their germs. I like that this product is gluten free, vegetarian and not genetically modified. It seems like a good quality product, if you are interested in trying out the benefits of Echinacea. 🙂

What is maltodextrin doing in a product that is labeled echinacea Elite? Maltodextrin is a metabolism killer per Dr. Axe.
