I love the taste of licorice! Whether in candies, tea and even some Asian salads, it delights my taste buds. I had also heard it was good for digestion and might help with some “female issues,” so I decided to try out these drops.
I like that the ingredients in this liquid are simple—just licorice root extract, vegetable glycerin and water. The product is made in Italy, so I feel like it’s more likely to be produced under good, healthy, well-regulated conditions than if it were made in a less developed country.
I add 3-4 droppers full to a bottle of cold water with a bit of sarsaparilla extract, ginger and a pinch of white stevia powder for a delicious, refreshing drink. I noticed fewer “personal summers,” and I had less indigestion when I took it.
Licorice root contains over 300 beneficial chemical compounds and flavonoids. Therefore, it has been used for centuries in both Eastern and Western medicine to treat a variety of disorders due to its antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These include:
• cancer—especially leukemia, liver and stomach cancers
• digestive issues—including acid reflux, Candida, peptic ulcers, and GERD
• hepatitis C and liver damage

At almost $26 for 4 fluid ounces (about $6.50/oz.) at the time of this review, I think this product is a bit overpriced. However, taken responsibly for no more than a few weeks at a time, it can yield some beneficial results.

This product arrived with a broken seal on the cap, and torn box. Extremely disappointed this item cannot be returned. I wished I knew this before buying. I will not this mistake again. I don’t recommend this item. It doesn’t deserve one star even.

My doctor recommended that I begin using licorice tincture to help boost my adrenal system. Licorice is very sweet but it does have that herb taste, I followed the directions on the label and I diluted the drops into water and I just drank it down. This is not something that you drink to savor and enjoy the flavor of. I am tolerating the flavor of this well.

This licorice is made by a company that doesn’t add any dangerous or unnecessary ingredients in their products, which is a lot to say. Considering the amount of harmful ingredients used by many companies, hats off to Naturalma.

This is a good, strong tincture with a strong flavor, and 4 oz is a generous amount. Licorice is a sweet root, which I think does well in a glycerine tincture, and I like to add it to beverages such as kombucha. It’s an anti-inflammatory as well as helping to harmonize other herbs you take.

This was helpful in healing GERD and acid reflux I was having. It’s also helped to boost my immune system. I’ve experienced no other noticeable benefits or side effects. This is effective with what I mentioned though.
