This is supposed to be a health product, but it tastes like dessert! I will update regarding the health effects once more time passes, but I used almond milk instead of water and to me it’s like a vanilla Frosty blended with ice.
I’m nearing the end of one tub, and I can say I actually see more definition and muscle overall, and I haven’t been able to exercise as usual because I was sick for almost 3 weeks.

I love the Peanut Butter Chocolate but thought I’d try Salted Caramel. Sooo good. It literally tastes like a dessert. Cake batter comes to mind. I make mine with Almond milk. It definitely curbs the appetite and makes you feel full.

I love these plant based shake mixes! I have tried the banana and vanilla flavors! Love them both! I drink them everyday! So glad that these come in plant based! A+++++

I’ve tried a few meal replacements/ protein powders and never finish them because of the taste. I was so happy with the peanut butter chocolate flavor!!
I wanted it mostly because of the peanut butter but it was more subtle. I don’t love super intense chocolate flavors either and actually really enjoyed this!! No chalky after taste, has a great serving of everything in it.
8oz of almond milk with 2 scoops is the standard amount I’ll use. It mixes very well just in the blender bottle. I think it’s substantial for a meal replacement. I will be repurchasing, and definitely trying other flavors.

CONS
The container says this product (in the picture) is lactose free yet on the back, it says there are milk and soy derivatives…which would explain why my stomach gets upset when I take this. Unfortunately, my goal was to have a shake for breakfast and one for lunch but I don’t think my stomach would be able to handle that.
Also, I find that 1 scoop does not keep my hunger/cravings at bay for more than an hour or two so I usually put 2 scoops of powder in my drink about 8 a.m. and that will tie me over until closer to noon.
Not enough peanut butter flavor 🙁
PROS
This shake tastes great – it tastes like a regular chocolate milkshake. No need to hold your breath while you drink it.
The texture is wonderful – no worry about a chalky mouth.
The cons are minimal enough that I will continue to buy this protein powder. I usually take mine with Almond milk right before I go to work.

So, my body has an inflammatory problem so I try to avoid dairy, soy and gluten. However the onset of that problem was hormonal, in addition to having breast cancer run wild through my family, I also try to avoid excess estrogen, and soy is an obvious item to remove to lessen estrogen… but so is pea! I was weighing my options between whey and vegan proteins when I came across this gem. I had tried Lean1 (whey) shakes before to transition from some pyramid scheme shakes and loved them.
This shipment came today, just in time for lunch. The instructions say to mix with water but I did half almond milk and half ice. In the grand scheme of protein shakes, I can say that I think this one is actually delicious!
My only concern is a mention of milk on the label. I wrote an email to Nutrition 53 (the manufacturer) about it, is that the label says it contains milk in bold. Not sure if that means shared facilities with other items or the “grass-fed beef” protein is actually just a way of saying whey.

I am extremely sensitive to any sort of artificial sweeteners, you name the brand and I’ve probably tried it. They all give me headaches and mild nausea, even in tiny quantities. Because of this, I’ve had a very difficult time finding a brand of protein shake that I liked, as they’re all either loaded down with the artificial stuff, or real sugar which tastes great but is less than helpful when you’re trying to lose weight.
I’ve been through more brands of protein shakes than I can count over the last few years, and Lean One is by FAR my favorite. It tastes just great and has a pleasant, creamy texture when mixed with just water. It also blends easily, I use a Blender Ball to shake it up, but stirring with a fork works just as well. Believe me, not all brands are easy to mix! It does have more sugar than the brands which are artificially sweetened, but not nearly as much as the really sweet ones such SlimFast. After drinking my shake, it leaves me feeling satisfied for several hours. I’ve been using it daily for the past month and have lost ten pounds so far. I absolutely recommend this brand, especially if you are sensitive to sweeteners!

Super bummed about this. I’ve gone through 2 tubs of this in the past and LOVED the taste. I looked forward to this flavor shake in my day. Something is definitely wrong with this latest batch I’ve got and I can’t return it… It tastes like burnt peanut butter with an unpleasant nutty after taste that was not there before. I’m not sure if something has changed in their formula or if I’m the only one experiencing this? I just wish I could swap this out for a new tub. I don’t think I’ll be able to stomach 15 servings of this…
