I don’t dermaplane but this serum has tons of applications. Lots of folks add oils to their hydration routine, for example applying it just before a traditional moisturizer. And there are lots of options for which oil to use. This product is cool because it combines several oils and I would think that would increase its efficacy as a moisturizing or protective agent. You do not need to use a lot, a drop or two goes a long way. Has a very subtle, clean, natural smelling scent. Seems to last a long time. Really like having this around during the winter months when my skin often feels too dry.

I struggle with sensitive skin (face) after shaving and was interested in an uncomplicated product. I love that this company cares about waste reduction and is focused on sustainable packaging and ingredients. The aroma is subtle and natural (for me) which I appreciate. And it has helped calm my skin after shaving.

This Leaf Shave Calming Serum is really nice.
I like the scent. I have allergies and get bothered easily by a lot of perfumes, colognes, candles, etc. Not the case with this Calming Serum, though! The scent isn’t overpowering at all.
Having used pre-shave oils and beard oils before, I expected this Leaf Calming Serum to be very oily… but that’s not the case either. Yes, it is a little oily when you first put it in your hands, but it rubs into your skin nicely and does not leave an oily mess.
I’ll likely use this after shaving, particularly on my neck, but I’ll also use it as a beard oil to keep stray hairs down.
For me, the only real issue with this product is the price. Currently listed at $25, I would never be able to justify buying this. As far as calming redness and soothing irritation, a trusty alum block works just as good for me, if not better, at a fraction of the cost.

Really love the packaging and sustainability of this company. After getting another one of their skin care products, I ended up buying their dermaplanner as well for a less wasteful means of dermaplanning and I’ve loved every product from them. It is calming and doesn’t cause any reaction with my somewhat sensitive skin. The scent is nice and light, and the serum does not appear to include any artificial fragrances. I try to avoid using too many essential oils on my face, so I strictly use this alongside dermaplanning as a weekly (sometimes twice weekly) part of my routine. I use 2 drops of this and it spreads perfectly over my face. Would definitely recommend!

I recieved the package just after I had completed a Dermablade on my face. It instantly calmed and seemed to rebalance my skin. Definitely gave a feeling of a Spa-like Procedure. The scent is a bit of a medicinal one, but in a good way.
It is a Serum so it penetrated my skin quickly and gave beautiful glowing and moisturized result.

This serum is made from natural ingredients including a combination of oils and essential oils that are listed in the description.
It has a pleasant fragrance. The tea tree oil seems to be the predominate scent to me, but is not overwhelming. The scent dissipated as the oil absorbed into my skin.
As expected the serum is oily when first applied, but as it absorbs, the oily shine fades away leaving my skin soft and supple.
It’s attractively packaged in a frosted glass bottle with a wood lid. The dropper is glass with a white rubber bulb. I like that the dropper is reusable, but there’s only $1 savings to purchase the bottle without the dropper. It looks attractive on my bathroom counter.
A few drops go a long way, so even though it’s a small bottle, it should last a while.
