L-lysine is an amino acid and is known to fight cold sores and other herpes symptoms. This version has no fillers except for rice powder. I did not have any negative reaction to this. Capsules are medium large.
It’s nice that it is made in USA. The bottle is plastic with recycling symbol number one inside a triangle. This type of plastic is not actually recycled in my area.

It is not easy to find supplements without magnesium stearate, silica or dioxide fillers unless you pay quite a bit more. This is fairly priced for a quality product. Additionally, per the site it has no artificial fillers or preservatives. It is USA formulated, blended and bottled and a GMP facility round out a lot of reasons to be a fan of this product.
Per the bottle, at 600 MG you can take 1-3 per day depending on what you are using it for. The most common benefits you will see listed on the Internet are: improves cold stores, reduces anxiety, increases calcium absorption and promote wound healing.
I get anxiety now and then and very rarely do I have cold sores but I have had them. They are very unsightly and painful so I have no interest in having them hang around very long. I usually go with a high dose (you can Google it to find the recommended daily maximum). I always try to stay shy of “daily maximums” if possible but when inflammation is high you need a higher dose. Of course I checked with my MD on all this which is wise since every person is different and we’re all taking different vitamins, supplements and prescription medications and “safety should be first”.
The packaging, product and even a sniff inside the bottle all pass the eyeball and sniff test. I like that it is a capsule versus a tablet which should lead to better absorption. I can see why they call their product “clean Lysine”. It may be the cleanest lysine product I have ever used given all it has going for it.
