    I bought this item for a few reasons. I wanted to reduce my stress, and wanted to curb anger fits that I would get from time to time. I have been taking only 1 pill a day for 3 months and here are my findings:

    1) This stuff works, period.

    2) I find myself much calmer during the day. I don’t flip out at the littlest things. I can handle my teenagers much much better, and I don’t sweat the small stiff any longer.

    3) My mood is CONSIDERABLY noticeable while driving! Yes, driving. I have been known to get really angry at idiots on the road, but now I just think, “eh screw it” and continue on without letting them irritate me.

    4) Sleeping much better and sounder, and that is only with 1 pill.

    5) I have lost a little over 15 pounds (that I could afford to lose) since I have been on it. I think that’s due to the thermogenesis with my one cup of morning joe with caffeine, and I simply don’t “stress eat” anymore. If my kids pissed me off, I used to go straight to the pantry and binge eat. Now, I am able to handle that stress, remain relaxed and don’t eat.

    This amino acid has been shown to do all of the above in lab and animal testing. I am an extreme type A personality and believe me, this is NOT a placebo effect. I have been on this 3 months so it’s more than enough time as a trial, and my entire family sees a definite change in me. My household is a much better environment due to me taking this supplement.

    My 10yo child has been taking L-theanine (specifically a Suntheanine chewable) supplements the last 3 years for ADHD/anxiety. Since kiddo is old enough to do swallow pills, we tried these capsules to save a few dollars, which supposedly have the exact same amount of L-theanine (Suntheanine) per pill.
    Within a week, his eye tic (his psychological indicator of anxiety) surfaced, when life was not currently stressful. ADHD symptoms flared, and after a couple weeks, we went back to chewable and BAM! Symptoms stopped.
    We ran out for a couple days of chewables, so attempted these capsules again (at twice the dose), and symptoms returned immediately!

    I call crock on these containing the claimed amount of L-theanine. As useful as a sugar pill!

    As someone who was looking for something to help with nicotine withdrawal, this really helps in a very real way. I found that without it my cravings were still so very intense. It’s subtle but very noticeable and it made all the difference in me being able to stick with my plan. I know some would say it’s placebo, but it’s more than that, if you’re looking for something to help aid in quitting smoking or vaping this has helped me tremendously. Just for informative purposes I was vaping 50mg salts non-stop, even in the shower and in the middle of the night. My vape was always in hand, almost like a pacifier, pretty ridiculous I know. I also found that pairing it with small doses of 5HTP increased the effectiveness of relaxing and getting some kind of sleep. I attribute most of the work being done (helping cravings) to this supplement, as the 5HTP by itself did not help near as much alone as this has. I still take it daily as it’s only been 6 weeks and I’m still not entirely back to normal, but I wouldn’t of made it this far without it.

    I take this product before bedtime for more restful sleep. It’s very effective in calming work-related stress, which used to interfere with my falling asleep or sleep quality. I knew that factors like food, exercise, and electronics use can affect sleep, but frustratingly, I still experienced sleepless nights after trying hard to control those factors. The missing piece of the puzzle turned out to be the need to quickly (no time for an hour of yoga!) relax from a day’s worth of stress, and L-theanine (Suntheanine) helps me with exactly that. This product has not worked consistently for an elderly relative of mine who has other health issues–she has to explore other sleep aids including prescriptions. So this product does not work for everyone (for sleep), but for something without side effects, it’s probably worth at least a try. For me it has a made a world of difference.

    L-Theanine was recommended by my Nurse Practitioner to help calm the nerves. It does help. I am post menopausal and
    always felt like my mind was in a foggy state. Since taking L-Theanine, my mind has miraculously awakened. I have more
    energy. I can get work done for a longer extended period of time. I think more clearly. 200 mg of L-theanine does all these
    magic things for me. I feel like I am human again and not a zombie. Thank you!! I am a female in my early 70s.

    I thought that I had written a review of this previously, but, apparently, not. This has to be one of the best supplements that I ever taken. Unlike many supplements, e.g., vitamins and minerals, etc. that are difficult to really quantify a positive impact, these L-theanines really can be felt. They will truly relax you. As I’ve read the reviews of this product, it seems that many of the folks use them as a natural anti-depressant and I can see where that would work. I bought them to help me sleep and they have. I had tried melatonin and several other so-called sleep aids and nothing clicked; until L-theanine. The main reason I wanted to try them is that I found that a prescribed Xanax did indeed help me sleep (I’m was having slight anxiety due to a recent heart attack). I knew that I couldn’t continue Xanax because of the dependency factor, so I wanted something natural and medically accepted. L-theanine did just that. I now take one just before bedtime and have improved my sleep by at least 33%….which is significant for me.
