If I could only have one perfume for the rest of my life, it would have to be this oil. I took this on a trip with me and it didn’t come back with me because my uncle loved it. 10/10 I will keep this on my list of go to perfumes. I feel like this is best for weddings, baptisms and any other occasion where the atmosphere is light and airy, but I wear it every day, and the best part is you don’t need much.

This brand of Egyptian musk has been my favorite for a couple years now. However the company has been sending either turned product or they got cheap! It has always been a strong scent and a light yellow color as well as thick. The last 2 I have ordered has been dark yellow, moves like water and barely any scent. Extremely upsetting as you spend a nice price and expect quality. Will try through kuumba web site but if it comes the same will need to let them go. Unfortunate. Colie is nothing like the photo given as it use to be!

This is hands-down the best-smelling Egyptian musk I’ve found.
Other brands have a baby powder-like scent, smell cheap, or don’t last.
This variation is a thick oil that sits close to the skin with a mysterious ancient smell. It lists the notes as sandalwood and musk, which is pretty spot on. I’d say it’s probably an equal balance of three notes. This perfume shape-shifts with the environment you wear it in. It is a fresh-musk-type perfume with a slight earthy scent during the day and a mysterious woody one at night.
Even with my description though, it’s a difficult fragrance for me to describe. It’s indescribable because I’ve never found any scent with such a perfect mixture of wood and musk. I’ve bought dozens and dozens of samples and hunted around the Sephoras of every city I’ve visited and still only found maybe three other fragrances I enjoyed half as much or had the same allure as this fragrance, and even after finding other scents I like, I still always mix them with this as my base.

Update, Feb 8, 2018… I returned the bottle I reviewed earlier (below) and then bought a new one…it was just as horrible, so I’ll be returning this new bottle, too. And it’ll be a long time before I try and buy this Egyptian musk oil by Kuumba…Idk what happened…I’ve been buying this product from Amazon for YEARS!!!! I REALLY hope the same thing doesn’t happen w their Persian garden and vanilla musk!!! I really wish I could have reported SUCCESS w this most recent bottle, but whatever little smell there is just smells awful. Buyer beware!!!
***FYI…under NORMAL circumstances, I would be giving this product 5 stars…MORE if possible!!! However – and I have NO idea what happened – I very sadly HAVE to give it a ONE!!!!! Here is why:
I have been using Kuumba perfume oils for many years, and I LOVE them!!!! They are the ONLY perfume I EVER wear, for many wonderful reasons. Until now, I have ALWAYS been completely satisfied with the MANY Kuumba oils I have purchased here on Amazon over the years.
The two Kuumba scents I wear the most are Egyptian musk (cool/cold weather) and Persian garden (warm/hot weather), but I also get their vanilla musk (for cool/warm weather or to mix with the Egyptian musk) and Arabian sandalwood (for the December Holidays!) just to mix things up a bit.
I also recently bought a small bottle of their lavender lace, just to try it out…it’s really pretty and put it on my wrists sometimes in the evenings when it’s time to relax.
So as you can see, I truly am a happy and loyal Kuumba customer!!! Well, anyway…back to the sad part of the story…this review is about a bottle of Egyptian musk that I purchased on 12/10/17 and received a few days later.
AND OH NO…IT SMELLS HORRIBLE!!!!
It isn’t just that it doesn’t smell like Egyptian musk (which it doesn’t, not even a little)…it just actually smells BAD. I think the best way to express it is that it smells like it somehow spoiled…perhaps it’s just old, or maybe it’s been stored in extreme heat (or cold?) or…well, I don’t even know what, but it is NOT a scent I wish to wear!!!
My husband – who always LOVES the way I smell – came home from work and literally said, “Ohhh…what’s that smell??” Seriously, I’m not kidding. He said it almost immediately upon saying hello to me (I had put some on as soon as I got it…and despite it being so unpleasant, I didn’t wash it off bc I wanted to see if he’d notice. He did.), so I knew I wasn’t imagining it.
Idk if it’s this particular bottle – or maybe even the entire batch from which this bottle came – of Kuumba’s Egyptian musk that smells bad like this, but I will definitely be returning this particular bottle. However, I will happily buy another one in the meantime bc this really is a wonderful product, and I have faith that this was just a one-time blooper. And I better hurry up bc I just finished the last drops of my old – and normal-smelling – bottle, and it feels strange not to smell like…me!!! 😱😜🤗

This product is a number one item that I’ve been using for two years straight it smells clean and it lasts longer than a usual average perfume that is usually made out of alcohol or water and if you just wanna try it out, just buy the small version of this fragrance oil.

Wish I would’ve read the reviews previous to buying, but alas, I got an Egyptian musk roller ball perfume from this brand at Whole Foods, I loved it, so obsessed, when I ran out I found the same brand on Amazon thinking well they own Whole Foods so it should be the same quality. Something is wrong with this batch of Egyptian musk there’s a cloudy white substance and it smells like rancid oil. SAVE YOUR MONEY you can’t return this item. Wish I would’ve read the reviews first 🤦♀️ waited months to get a new bottle and just assumed it would be the exact same. Don’t blame this small business (Kuumba made) their products are fantastic and I think the seller got a bad batch or let it go bad sitting and sold it anyways.

Un muschio con base ambrata che mi piace molto. Non è il profumo che fa per voi se cercate qualcosa che proietti, che lasci la scia.
Se invece amate le fragranze che restano vicino a chi le indossa, lo consiglio.
