It seems that many reviewers don’t understand what these gels are for. They are quick energy for athletes like marathoners, rowers, and other sports that burn a lot of calories. They are also excellent for folks like me who are struck at the most inconvenient times with hypoglycemia. Reviewers are complaining about the high sugar content, when a big hit of sugar is the whole point! I got the salted caramel flavor and it’s outstanding. It’s a great boost of energy right out of the easy-to-open tube, and it’s also really good in coffee. I keep a couple in my purse and a couple in the fanny pack I wear on long walks. Sure beats having to call 911. I would absolutely buy these again.

Gels like this are perfect for stashing in a jersey pocket when cycling or in a backpack to eat while hiking. I like to try a variety of different styles and I’ve found that most of them don’t taste great. Unfortunately this product is not an exception to that. I got the maple coffee flavor, and it doesn’t really taste like maple or coffee… just tastes like a fake approximation of those flavors and doesn’t really appeal to me. That being said it doesn’t really taste *bad* it just tastes fake. It’s overly sweet, but it’s not a real sugar sweetness, it’s very artificial.
The other issue I had with these gels is the price compared to the quality… this is a horrible value, at over $2 per gel. You can find comparable products at half the price. Maybe if these tasted amazing, I could get over the price… but at least for the flavor I sampled, I cannot endorse this product at the current cost.
I still gave it 3 stars because despite the high price and the taste, it works fine as an energy gel, and taste is subjective. I think there are some much better options available though.

I ordered this product thinking it was some kind of nutritional snack. The product description makes no mention of the ingredients so you just have to hope that it’s healthy and tastes good. Even the outer box that it comes it makes no mention of the ingredients. You don’t find out what’s really in this stuff until you open up the shrink wrapped box it comes in.
What I found when I opened it was a box with 24 containers of liquid “goo”. You have to tear the top of the pouch off and sip it because it’s pure liquid. And the ingredients: Maple syrup, rasberry purée, and salt.
So for a 120 calorie “energy snack” you get to eat a liquid pouch of pure sugar – 28g of sugar to be exact. Yes, more sugar than the average candy bar in a food item that is marketed as being nutritional. This is just basically maple syrup with a hint of raspberry in it. I can’t imagine what they were thinking when they decided to develop this product but it’s a complete fail for me. It has no nutritional value, tons of sugar, and doesn’t taste very good.

Like that it is organic and is a simple clean sports gel. High energy content for its size (120calories) in a fairly compact gel. Definitely needs to be taken with some sort of water/drink to dilute in stomach. Nice and easy to open and tastes good. Love that they have a good mid-level caffeine content of 50mg – good maintenance level or bump for mid way into a long run or bike. Good price per gel and like the bulk pack size. Only issue for me is that I like thin gels that are more drinkable (no chewy), but will have no issue using these up! Good to have some variety in textures also, when it is warmer outside it might be less thick also (winter in Minnesota).

I can’t keep these in my house, my teens devour them fast! They love them. They say they’re delicious, and best when cold. But still good straight off the pantry shelf, at room temp.

I got these Nutrition gels because I’m a diabetic and dislike the flavor of the emergency glucose that is sold for diabetic hypoglycemic events. These blueberry gels taste much better than those medical ones and are basically the same thing, 30 grams of carb and mainly sugar (in fact 20 grams of sugar). These aren’t super sweet either, so they’re easy to ingest if needed. Tha package us easy to open and can be ingested quickly if needed. I will keep a few packs in each of my sports bags (tennis, puckleball, and bowling) as well as my car and a couple by my bed. Hypoglecemic events are no joke and sometimes need to be addressed immediately. I’d recommend these to all diabetics.

I used energy gels back in the day for quick energy bursts during hiking, so I’m not foreign to the concept. I like that these are made with natural ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup (like those gels of yesteryear) and no artificial dyes.
That said, these could be improved.
1) They do not dissolve easily. These gels are THICK. Be sure to have a lot of water handy to swallow these down. They are so thick that it’s not very enjoyable to try to eat the entire packet.
2) Flavor is more peach than tropical. My entire family tasted the peach flavor right away. Other tropical fruits were not prevalent. That said, the flavor is overwhelming.
3) The packaging is a bear to open. Be prepared to need to use your teeth or a pair of scissors . Why you would have scissors handy when doing high exertion exercise is beyond me, but… you’ll need the help opening the package.
I thought these could be a quick energy boost for my swimmers on competition days, but they’ve both turned them down.

The Krono Nutrition Energy Gel is a game-changer for my workouts! Made with natural ingredients, it gives me the clean energy boost I need without the crash. I love that it’s vegan and gluten-free, making it suitable for a variety of dietary needs. The blueberry flavor is delicious and refreshing, and the gel consistency is easy to consume during exercise. Whether I’m running, cycling, or hitting the gym, this energy gel keeps me going strong. It’s become a staple in my routine, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, natural energy source!
