This review is for the KOCOSTAR lip care kit. This is two boxes inside another box, and each “item,” so to speak, comes in a separate plastic container in a really interesting plastic velvet matte case in the shape of a pair of lips. The first is peach-colored and is a lip scrub and lip balm in side-by-side with separate access flaps along with a mini spatula. Each is peach flavored. The scrub was a good consistency and the balm was thick without being sticky. I like that the spatula has a nubby end to help massage the scrub in to your lips. The other case is a bright red and has a separately-packaged liner and spatula that you install yourself–this one has hydrogel or jelly masks for your lips. These are best used after the scrub but before the balm. The masks are generously sized and stay on, giving a good amount of moisture. Overall this is a really nice set, and the plastic velvet matte cases are some quality construction that I’d consider using for other things after the products run out.

I want to throw out there that I initially was hesitant and confused about this product. Luckily the description page is totally accurate so you know you are getting both the lip scrub and oil along with the lip masks (which is a first for me). I was kind of like…what the heck is this set?
I just want to say that now that I have tried it – totally changed my mind. This set is amazing. I could care less for lips as decoration and what not but even I was very impressed. I could see how this would win awards. Everything from the packaging to the presentation to the product is done very, very well. I think it is actually worth the price tag if you consider that most beauty products are not cheap and that this lip care kit has everything done right. The innovation in the kit is great and everything is sealed and packaged very well. They really thought of hygiene and included tools to help with application to keep things from getting gross from possibly dirty fingers. Instructions and descriptions are in both Korean and English, and each product includes pictures to show you, should you be a more visual person.
The product itself is amazing. Normally lip scrubs are way too abrasive in my opinion and they end up feeling like you are exfoliating a lot more than just your dead skin. This lip scrub, aside from smelling very yummy peach, is a mild exfoliate and the included spatula has little bumps on one end so you know which side to use, helps to rub it on your lips. I honestly felt like I was rubbing on peach yogurt with a little bit of abrasion in it. If you have really really dry lips, you might feel like this isn’t exfoliating enough but as the directions state–if you leave on the lip scrub for about 3 minutes first, it will help soften and ease the scrub in exfoliating with removal of dead skin. This totally worked for me but again I don’t have excess peely lips going on.
The lip oil is just the right amount of peach and shine. After using the scrub it is the perfect compliment to the set. I like that the included spatula has the spoon side for the lip oil. Everything fits in the lip case and has individual plastic lids for both side. Very thoughtful and use friendly. The lip oil kept my newly scrubbed lips nice and moisturized until I ended up eating and wiping off the lip oil in the process.
The lip mask, I will admit, really makes me think of clown lips and definitely caused jokes in my household but I’m pretty sure this is the only company making lip masks. These lip masks very much smell like rose, as it should since rose water is part of the ingredients. It has some other very good for you skin and lips ingredients like sodium hyaluronate, glycerin, and collagen. The lip mask can be used for 10-20 minutes but I couldn’t keep it on past 10 as I tend to drink lots of water. You also will probably want to give it a few minutes to settle and set on your skin before you go about your day. Think of it similarly to eye patches…those little slugs will start sliding down your face, onto your cheeks if you don’t let them set. These lip masks are the same, stick on the clown lips and then just kick your head back or lay down for a few minutes…it’ll set and then you can go about your day. You could probably do either the lip care set first or the lip mask first…both ways will have benefits. I did the lip care set and then ended with the lip mask at the end of the day.
Love this set and honestly I am surprised as I never thought I would care for something like this. It’s different and done very well. More importantly, it left my lips very nicely exfoliated, moisturized, and hydrated well into the next day without issue.

Lip scrub and oil are fantastic. My lips felt super soft and hydrated after using them.
The lip mask is good but the scrub/oil combo is definitely my favorite.

This set essentially comes with two of their products in one, the rose lip, masks, in one box and the peach lip, scrub and lip oil cream duo in another box. For the duo, it tells you to use the scrub first, which is on the right and then the lip oil cream second which is on the left… Seems counterintuitive for me because I would go left to right, but I appreciate that they tell you which one to use first or I might have done it backwards. As for the masks, there is a little tool to help you get the mask out, I like that these are stored in one box instead of individually wrapped because those just seem so wasteful.
These are fun and silly to use, but actually great for moisturizing lips. My child and i have a great time with the lip masks haha

This product comes with a lip scrub (which is not that exfoliating, to be honest), a lip ointment (which is highly moisturizing), and a lip mask to go over it. They smell wonderfully peachy and rosy – absolutely delicious! The design of the packaging is adorable and very giftable. If you suffer from dry, cracked lips, this product could be just what you’re looking for. However, be aware that the packaging itself, although fun, is fairly bulky and wasteful, so you’re not actually getting that much product.

This is a really cute at-home kit that you can add to your self-care home spa days. It’s all about lips and includes rose-scented lip masks and peach-scented lip scrub and lip oil. The items are scented but they don’t taste like their scent. In fact, I didn’t really like the taste of the lip mask after I took it off and licked my lips a little. So I personally avoid licking my lips with or after these products are on. However, the packaging is very cute and solid (the lips are heavy!) and they are safety sealed before you get them. The scrub isn’t super exfoliating but it feels nice before the mask. The mask felt hydrating and a little tingly after removing. The lip oil is a cream that kind of melts into your lips. It smells delicious although again, doesn’t taste like peach. But it does make my lips feel hydrated. Overall I think this is a fun kit that would be a great gift for someone who loves keeping up with lip care at home.
