My physician recommended this iron supplement to me because the type I got in the stores would not absorb and I have been struggling with iron deficient anemia off and on over the years. Since starting this supplement 5 years or so ago I have had a normal hemoglobin! No taste, easy to swallow and apparently absorbs perfectly. I take a chewable kids iron tablet when I have my period and it helps as well. After years of buying these with no issues I actually found a capsules half full today and was curious what happened. Iron count became so low that a transfusion was required and two doses of iron pills a day to build up a healthy level. Tried several types, iron Ferrous Sulfate, Heme Iron Polypeptide, Heme/non-heme combined, and Iron Chelate. Unfortunately all products created differing degree of constipation. But the Klaire Labs Iron Chelate provided the least side-effects and worked quickly. Within 3 weeks my Iron count reached near normal. Product is really effective and most gentle on your system.

I purchased this brand bred ore and it was great. I recently purchased and it just makes me sick to my stomach and gives me indigestion. When I burp it’s a plastic taste. To say it’s unpleasant is an understatement. I don’t know if they’ve switched formulas or the capsule itself. Whatever they did, it is not the same. I tried 3 times to take this. Now the bottle is just sitting there and useless. No refunds available on this product. Look elsewhere! Buy another brand. This one is a flop and a waste of money.

I will burp hours after taking this, and taste the iron.. thats the ONLY downfall. Other irons constipated me, not this one!!
