Can tell right away this product doesn’t contain harmul chemicals. My body and hair don’t get irritated as it did with other branded body wash and shampoo.

Squatch stuff isn’t cheap, but it’s always been a good value to me. I have sensitive skin that doesn’t respond well to a lot of the heavily processed products on the market, and have to look more at gentle, natural ingredients to avoid irritation and breakouts. The new body wash is excellent for me and doesn’t cause my skin to get overly dry or irritated, and the shampoo and conditioner I’m able to use without causing scalp irritation. You save a bit by getting this as a set like this, which is a plus – but even at full price, it’s worth the cost. Excellent quality, highly recommended.
Customer Review –
Dr. Squatch natural body wash and hair is an acquired taste. I am a “bar soap” type of guy and had to make two giant leaps to try out the body wash. The first was just using body wash and the second getting used to the exfoliating particles.
The body wash soap is a thick gel with exfoliating particles and moisturizer. The best of these three features is the moisturizer. I could still feel the moisturizer after my shower – it has staying power. The masculine scent faded quickly. I did not recognize that it had faded until I used a sandalwood shaving cream by another company and quickly realized the subtle nature of the Dr. Squatch gel soap.
The exfoliating particles in the gel soap transported me back to the time my dad handed me HIS Lava soap (made with volcanic pumice particles). We had just replaced the head on a Stovebolt Chevy engine, and our hands were greasy and dirty. I do not believe that the Dr. Squatch gel soap will replace this cleansing power, but it felt enjoyable.
I decided that I would continue to use this set of Dr. Squatch’s gift set until it was gone. I am not sure if I will get any closer to my masculine side or become more like John Henry, a steel-driving man; or Paul Bunyan, a lumberjack; or Davy Crockett, the frontiersman.
I will also sing — in a manly way — the following work songs while using this gift set — Big Bad John by Jimmy Dean, Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell, Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel, and Money for Nothing by Dire Straits.
Overall, the good qualities of the Dr. Squatch Pine Tar collection include:
1. It lathers effectively.
2. It truly exfoliates and washes off easily.
3. It leaves a squeaky-clean feeling that lasts a long time
4. It makes one feel reinvigorated.
5. One can smell masculine without an overwhelming scent.
6. One can smell like a pine forest – in a nontoxic way since Dr. Squatch uses 98 to 100 percent natural ingredients.
I am going to give this gift set a five-star rating even though it is a bit pricey. Oh, one last thing – the name “Pine Tar” – not the most apt name for a soap. I had to do a double take before I purchased the soap given what I think the words – pine tar – connotes.

Dr. Squatch is my husband’s first choice for body care. He particularly loves this set, considering the included shampoo and conditioner. He speaks nothing but great things about Dr. Squatch and how well their products work.
He just ran out of shampoo, so I’m glad that this set included both shampoo and conditioner. He doesn’t normally use conditioner, but he’s been loving this stuff and how soft it makes his hair feel. I think it’s opened up a whole new door of self care for him. All good, now he understands why all of us women use it.
He claims that the body wash removes grease from his hands and makes him feel extra clean. I noticed that the body wash contains some sort of exfoliant particles in it. I’m sure that’s what’s been providing him with that deep clean he’s bragging about. It doesn’t dry out his skin, and it smells great, too.
He has been using the bar soaps for several months, so stepping out and trying the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was a real treat for him. All of the products work above expectation! He is a happy boy!

This is a pretty nice set of products. Each is sealed – body wash is taped and the shampoo and conditioner have tamper proof safety seals over the opening.
It seems very pricey for men’s bodywash & shampoo/conditioner (currently priced at $60). I’ve actually never heard of the brand.
There is a good deal of product – especially the body wash looks full sized. The shampoo for some reason is smaller than the conditioner which seems incongruous because the men in my household are more likely to use shampoo and skip conditioner altogether.
The scent is fine but not the most appealing to me. It definitely leans more onto the fake “pine” scent and it almost smells like pine sol to me. Not an ideal fragrance for men’s bodywash/shampoo.
I actually used to buy Pine Tar soap bars while I was pregnant (I had pregnancy hives and Pine Tar soap was recommended to help dry out and soothe my hives). The Pine Tar scent is very strong and distinctive. Pine Tar soap smells strongly of a campfire and this Pine Tar soap set just doesn’t seem to have any notes of that.

Smells great, good lather but one thing you have to be careful of is it is black, very very black, and if you get it on your curtain, etc, it might stain. It does lather up quickly and turn to white, but just be careful when you are shampooing and splashing.

Masculine, fresh smell.
The color of the shampoo and moisturizer are even more manly.
It’s an intense, tar black color.
I didn’t find any artificial colors on the list of ingredient, so I’m assuming that the color is of natural occurrence as a result of the ingredients.
I’d seen Dr. Squatch ads before and got a good chuckle out of them, but never got their stuff.
That is, until now.
This is something I’d like to get again.
