Very simple to use and accurate reading. Told me my iron was very low and went to the doctor 3 days later and once blood work came back, the doctor stated the same thing.

The kit only included one capillary dropper, which didn’t collect enough of a sample (there was plenty) and then couldn’t even push out the sample collected. The test was thus spoiled and the purchase wasted. Not recommended.

The test works fine but the instructions on the box are inconsistent with the directions pamphlet inside. The directions on the pamphlet say to use 1 drop of buffer for testing, while the directions on the box say to use 2 drops of buffer. I followed the directions on the pamphlet and believe I got accurate results. But can I be really sure? Would adding another drop of buffer make a major difference to results? I don’t know because I’m not a chemist. But I wouldn’t have these concerns about the possible accuracy of the results if the directions were consistent and if I did not have to guess which set of directions was correct. Please fix this!!

If you have iron deficiency anemia this test is not for your. In actually not sure who/what illness this test could possibly be made for. It doesn’t give a number, or even a “high/medium/low” iron amount. It looks like a covid test and you get a binary “normal/abnormal” result. Nowhere in the instruction does it say what the levels for “abnormal” or “normal even are. So the test is completely meaningless. Plus, with the instructions, you use a “drop” of blood and a “drop” of the provided solution. With such inaccurate measurements the dilution rate can be way off. There is no way this test can provide any meaningful information.
Honestly, it seems like a scam. DO NOT BUY!

This test is very accurate! I had labs done that showed evidence of iron deficiency in my CBC and I hadn’t heard back from my Doctor so I took matters into my own hands and ordered this test because I was super nervous. I ended up hearing back from my doctor literally the day within maybe an hour that the test arrived. My doctor confirmed that I had low blood due to iron deficiency. Just to confirm her advise, I took the test anyways and it came back positive for low ferrin. Prick didn’t hurt. Very easy to administer. Just be mindful of making sure you get all the blood sample to the tiny black line on the tube. I would definitely use again. The only con is it comes with (2) needles & only (1) cassette so if you have to test again, a cassette would have to be purchased separately.
