I have used a variety of collagen powders added to my morning coffee for several years now. Every brand that I’ve used has helped with joint pain, and I assume that based on the quality ingredients of this product, this will do the same. I have found that when using a collagen product, it takes about a month to first notice the effects, but it has definitely helped my joint pain considerably.
First off, this is the most beautiful collagen powder product that I have ever used in over 2 years. What first impressed me upon opening the package is the very nice ceramic canister in which to keep the collagen powder. It has a tightly fitting lid as shown in both the seller’s photos and in the photographs that I will post.
As soon as I poured the powder into the canister, I noticed immediately that this is a much finer texture collagen than any other brand I have used, including the best selling Vital Proteins, store brands, and other powder brands available online. The texture of Just Björn is almost like a cornstarch or baby powder and it is not grainy at all.
I add collagen powder to my morning coffee daily, so this was a smooth transition. I have used Just Björn for 3 days, and all 3 times I noticed that this brand takes longer to dissolve in my coffee than any other brand I have used. I think that may be due to the fact that this is a VERY fine powder. I found that stirring it with a fork works better than with a spoon, but a small whisk is best. It probably takes 20 to 30 seconds of stirring to completely dissolve this powder with a fork, but only about 10 seconds with the small whisk.
This powder has no taste, which makes it perfect to add to any beverage.
One difference between this powder and others is the quality. This is clearly a high-end product. It is 100% Marine collagen, so it would be suitable for pescatarians. There is no cow or other animal bone material in this product.
This collagen is sourced from fish in Norway, which makes me more confident in its safety and effectiveness. We know that the European Union has high standards for food safety, so this really built my confidence in this product and I feel very good about using it.
There is no question that this is a very good product. Costly, but made of higher quality materials and better production value than any other brand I’ve tried.
This is definitely a giftable set. The presentation is gorgeous and the canister is one to keep. Overall I can heartily recommend this product if you are seeking a marine collagen powder.

Having taken bovine collagen for many years, I was excited to try marine collagen – and wow, this just björn Marine Collagen Peptides Starter Kit was an amazing introduction. Taking it daily with my morning coffee, this very fine grain powder, and by powder, it’s truly a silt-like, silky powder, and takes a strong stir to dissolve completely because it truly is so fine that it tends to clump. There is NO flavor, NO odor, and NO taste to this product. And after a week of taking it daily I am noticing the immediate effects of longer, stronger finger nails. This is the first sign in my long-term experiences with collagen (I’m in my 50s) that I can SEE the results. The box in which this arrives is amazing, the packaging, top-notch, and the extra ceramic container was a bonus I wasn’t expecting. I am very pleased with this product and only wish for one thing, a slightly lower price. This is priced higher than any bovine collagen I have tried. For the overall quality and packaging, it makes sense. But for long term use on a budget, it may be pushing outside that comfort zone. Nicely done just björn!

The Taste
I have had Marine Collagen before, and I have been getting a bad after taste with THIS powder that I did not notice before with others.
How Does It Digest?
Not so great. I never had a problem with Marine Collagen before, but if I get a little too much of this one, it’s hard to digest. Since I did NOT open the bag with the scoop first, I don’t know how big that scoop is. I used another small scoop, and found out I need to use HALF of a small scoop with my Vegan Organic Or Gain Protein Powder (which does digest easily) in Almond Milk to feel OK after drinking it.

It’s nice but I needed a smaller jar for where I am putting it.
