I have never really liked the way coconut oil felt on my skin. I’ve also been really turned off by the scent of all coconut oils prior, even the “organic” and “high quality” ones. This smells AMAZING!!! Just like fresh coconut! The scent doesn’t linger long and the oil rubs into the skin very well. I also use as a hair mask prior to washing my hair. Very nice, high quality product! And you get 5 travel-friendly bottles. I highly recommend.

This product is basically individually packaged Cold-pressed coconut oil, which can be handy for travel.
-Each tube has a seal, so you need to remove the cap in order to remove the seal.
-The coconut oil has no additives. There is only Coconut oil in this product.
-The tubes are plastic squeeze type 0.85 oz sized tubes. The plastic is clear so that you can see how much coconut oil is inside.
-Coconut oil is solid in cold temps, and liquid at warm temps. So you may need to warm the tube in your hands prior to use in order to get it out of the tube.
-Smells like coconut oil, since that’s what it is.
-This product is exactly as described and seems to be of good quality, so I gave it 5 stars.
-The package states they plant a coconut tree for every item sold.

SOME FACTS/DETAILS WITH COMMENTS:
There are five of these small tubes that come in a sealed, foil-lined zip top pouch. (Mine, unfortunately, came with excess coconut oil all over the inside, covering all of the tubes. I checked them all for leaks, but there were none that I could see.) The tubes are clear, with the exception of the metallic, rose gold colored labelling. Each has a flip top cap, which unscrews so you can remove the small silver seal on the top of the tube.
THE GOOD:
– Clear tube so contents can be seen
– Smells really good
– Only one ingredient
– Only a little product is needed when moisturizing hands or hair – one tube should last a long time
– Good for travel
THE BAD (or not so bad):
– When hard, you cannot squeeze the coconut oil out of the tube
– When liquified, the coconut oil can spill or leak out of the tube
– Takes some time to get to the right consistency for use
MY OPINION:
I love using coconut oil as a skin moisturizer, and to help keep my dry hair hydrated. This coconut oil is really nice. It smells great. A little goes a long way. However, I’m not sure if a tube format is good for this product. It’s difficult to get the coconut oil at the right, soft consistency, which would be most effective when using in a tube. I put a tube of solid coconut oil in a zip top bag (for reassurance so it didn’t leak), and then in my pocket for about 15-20 minutes and my body heat alone helped soften it to a good consistency to dispense it from the tube. It can also be warmed with warm water. If it’s liquid you can throw it in the fridge for a while. This issue is true of all coconut oils, so don’t let that dissuade you from using it. I would prefer if this came in small travel jars instead of tubes as I prefer to use coconut oil from a jar, but I still really like this coconut oil.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
This is a super nice, one ingredient only coconut oil. The only problem is with dispensing from the tube. It’s best to use when it’s in between solid and liquid states. The question is, do you want to take the time necessary to get the oil in a creamy state so it can be dispensed easily from the tube?

I have used coconut oil on my hair for years (raw, unrefined) due to its ability to penetrate the cortex. I usually buy jars and scoop about 1 oz into a small bottle which I run under hot water when I want to use it (coconut oil is solid below 70F), however, depending on my destination and the temperature on the plane, I inevitable run into spills when I travel with coconut oil in travel containers. This completely solves my problem. Each 1oz bottle is sealed, and even when not sealed, the cap closes securely. This is so convenient and prevents leakage, so I would be willing to purchase it again despite my desire to use eco friendly packaging.

This version of Kapuluan Coconut Oil comes in 5 small, travel-friendly tubes in a re-closable bag. Each tube is sealed with aluminum foil, which you need to remove before first use.
This coconut oil is raw and cold-pressed. As far as I can tell, it smells exactly like fresh coconut. A little bit on your skin will go a long way and last a long time. As they say on their Amazon page, it is normal for coconut oil to solidify around 76 degrees F or 24 C, which my tube did once our house cooled off in the colder fall nights.
They recommend you just place the tube in some warm water if you want to liquefy the oil.

Kapuluan Coconut Oil for Hair, Skin: Coconut oil is a tricky material to use in skin or haircare products, since it’s solid at room temperature or colder. This comes in a convenient set of 5 individual clear, plastic tubes. It’s nearly impossible to squeeze any out when it’s solid, so you’ll need to warm it first. I find it works well to put it in my pocket for a little while. But if you leave it in too long, it will pour out too quickly and make a big mess. So you have to find the ideal temperature for that in-between stage. For some, that will mean holding it in your hands a little while. In any case, it’s made of just coconut oil. It works well on your skin, lips, and hair to moisturize with all-natural ingredients. Bonus that it’s made in the US.
