These KAL Zinc Plus C dissolve quickly under my tongue and taste good. I love the combination of zinc along with Vitamin C as they are good at supporting my immune system. These Zinc and Vitamin C tablets taste good so it makes them pleasant to take. They are described as instant dissolve. I wouldn’t call them that, they take a little bit of time to fully dissolve, but it isn’t a problem.
I am often exposed to colds, coughs and various viruses from traveling or whatever my grandkids pick up at school. I have found Zinc and C help boost my immunity so I am less likely to get ill and if I do, it tends to shorten the duration and ease the symptoms.

My February 2023 order of ‘KAL Zinc Plus C, Instant Dissolve Vitamin C and Zinc, 90 Micro Tablets’ arrived with plastic shrink-wrap covering the lid as well as an under-lid protection seal – always nice to see such thorough (and intact) consumer protection on consumables. The bottom of the plastic bottle shows a Manufacture Date of December 2022 and an Expiration Date of December 2024. The KAL website states the company buys ingredients from all around the world but manufactures all products in the USA (Utah), but I couldn’t find any manufacture location on the bottle itself. Each round micro tablet is approximately 5mm thick and 11mm in diameter.
I’ve always found that zinc works well for me to head off or shorten common colds. Therefore I always have zinc cold remedies on hand. Compared to the last zinc cold remedy I purchased at a grocery store, this KAL Zinc Plus C has the same amount of zinc in each tablet with the addition of 30mg of vitamin C. The KAL micro tablets (tangerine flavor) definitely taste better and dissolve better than other zinc cold remedy tablets I have used in the past, and the KAL micro tablets cost less per serving, too. I will be switching to KAL for future zinc purchases.

You can tell it’s vitamin C by it’s taste. Strong tangy taste. It starts to dissolve quickly, but ultimately didn’t fully dissolve under my tongue. I just ended up chewing it up, which isn’t an issue. I’m sure the pills are fine, but what does bother me is the fake sugar flavor. It’s the stevia, but it always just tastes like splenda to me which I just don’t like.
