These iron supplements dissolve quickly in your mouth and are easy to take. It has a sour taste with the stevia aftertaste, which I am not a fan of. This has more vitamin C than iron. I don’t like that it has maltodextrin as a sweetener. Not the best source of iron as a supplement.

These are medium size tablets. They are meant to dissolve under the tongue. Most sublingual tablets tend to be small. These are bigger than that. Since they also have Vit C along with the iron, some people with sensitive mouths may experience a slight burning sensation. This is due to the ascorbic acid which is Vit C. For those are sensitive, just simply chew and swallow quickly. There is no need to wait for it to totally dissolve.
I like that each tablet is only 25% of daily value for iron. That means that one can try out varying dosages to determine what work best for you without worrying about taking too much.
I personally had no issue with these pills. They dissolved fine for me and the taste has a tart appleness to it. I will see if my daughter likes them. She finds swallowing any pill to be a chore. So a tablet that dissolves or that she can simply chew up will work for her and bypass her gag reflex.
KAL is a decent brand that has been around the supplement industry for a while. The company is based in Utah. Getting supplements from unknown firms outside the US can be kind of sketchy as one do not know the qualities of their source materials or even if they are telling the truth of what they put in their bottles. Therefore, I prefer to get my supplements from USA companies.
Just because it comes from the States does not mean it is high quality. However, the FDA regulates the supplement companies here and that has some impact. Having some form of oversight in this industry if they are located in the US is a positive. Additionally, this the ability for consumers to not only complain but to sue the manufacturers provides extra pressure to help maintain quality control.

I have low iron and have had a hard time finding an iron supplement that didn’t upset my stomach. This one has been great in that department, but I’m not crazy about the addition of Maltodextrin. Maltodextrin has always been on my do not use list. The glycemic index is higher than that of regular sugar and it’s been known to disrupt healthy gut bacteria. I don’t think I would purchase it again since I am on a restrictive sugar and carbohydrate diet. It just isn’t a good fit for me. They do dissolve quickly and have a sweet tart apple flavor.

Unfortunately neither my wife or I could keep this in our mouth. For me the pill “burned” my mouth. I’m still feeling it 18 hours later. But keep in mind I have a relatively sensitive mouth. For my wife, it did not burn, but the taste was too sour. I did not have a problem with the taste, and my wife did not have a problem with burning, so maybe we both are unusual in different ways. That is why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2.
PROS:
When putting things in my body I’m sensitive to the quality of the product. Since I can’t do a lab analysis I look for the reputation of the company selling the product. This is an old established company that appears to have a lot of control of the manufacturing of their products. Their other products get very good reviews.
Adding Vitamin C to the Iron helps with absorption (but also raises the cost vs plain iron supplements).
CONS:
Besides taste/burning, there are several sugar substitutes in the product, I’m guessing to sweeten the pill without adding sugar, these include Mannitol, Maltodextrin, Stevia. I’d prefer no sweeteners.

This bottle contains a 90 day supply of fast dissolve tablets . Dose is one tablet daily, dissolved under tongue. I like the greeen apple taste. The flavor stays consistent while dissolving. I showed what a tablet looks like part way through, in case anyone is curious. I didn’t have any stomach issues after taking. Due to it’s flavor, I’d advise keeping these out of reach of children, to prevent accidental overdose. I attached a video review of this product. I showed the size of the tablets, and gave my 2 cents on them. I hope this helps. 😊

These Iron + Vit C supplements arrived quickly and the bottle looks exactly as it’s shown in the product images. I was very excited to try these as I typically previously took both Iron and Vitamin C individually. These have a subtle and pleasant pear taste which I am surprised I was fond of! They even smell great. I have not experienced any Stomach Discomfort while taking these, which was important to me as I have a few GI issues. Supplements are always difficult to review as vitamins don’t really tend to cause much outwardly/physically Change – But I Would recommend these to anyone considering them as a Vita option.
