I loved the packaging, the bottle, the product itself with regard to consistency, effectiveness, and scent. The scent is out of this world good. I’d buy it if it was a cologne or fragrance.
I will probably only buy one bottle a year. But so far my bottle has lasted about two uses a day for six months. But I use half a pump, which is plenty even for my big hands.
If you find it on sale, or have a gift card, or just want to treat your wealthy friend to something they probably won’t buy for themselves, go for it! It’s so good.
I am familiar with the brand’s products. I almost gave it four stars instead of five for the irony of the brand name “Youth to the People” — insinuating they make products for “the people”. They do not. They make products the one percent could afford, but likely won’t buy. It doesn’t matter, but if I were to price it, I’d put it at $22-25. But I don’t know how much it cost to produce it, package it, and deliver it.

This is some bougie hand wash, from the scent to the feeling of washing your hands. The scent is mildly strong, a lot of cedarwood with the other hints of pepper and “fresh greens”. The scent will stick around for a while and has a good mix between fragrance and natural smelling.
I always have very mixed skin my hands are usually on the dryer side but can get oily fast depending on the season. This is great for dry hands and not even adding any oil, it’s just all natural and works great at naturally cleansing them which I prefer over lotion or hand washes that add too much oil. My hands feel fresh and CLEAN after using and I can’t describe going from my usual one to this because I was like whoah, that explains the value, and it’s so much worth it here.
Ingredients are all high quality, filled with antioxidants and the superfood extracts which I’m confident helps my hands.
The container is a solid stone material, you can 100% reuse this, doesn’t look like they have any refills though. The pump gets just enough soap out, half a pump is what I use and it lathers in nicely to my hands.
It seems to last a good while, I’ve had it for 2 weeks and still more than half left. You don’t need a lot at all and in return it lasts longer. Definitely one of the higher quality hand soaps I’ve used and I can’t imagine me raving on a hand soap but this is the one to do so on! Just hope they have refills for this!

Great brand and great product! Doesn’t smell the best, but doesn’t smell bad… the brand is phenomenal though, so I definitely recommend!

I love this hand soap! It smells so good and makes my hands soft. I was disappointed the pump arrived chipped though.

Product helps with dry hands to moisturize.
The only problem is the shipping of product It is not packed well to prevent breakage of the pump or bottle.
Worth the price and is of course sold in other stores without free shipping

The packaging was top teer and the weight and heaviness to the bottle makes it look very high quality and luxury. The smell however is way too strong and lingers on the hands for a long time. I did not enjoy the smell but it could just be my preference. It isn’t as moisturizing as I thought but overall, decent quality soap.

Sufficient lather for handwashing, pleasant masculine aroma.

I’m already a fan of Youth to the People’s skincare products as well as their commitment to operating a cruelty-free business. (All their products vegan as well, if that is important to you!)
That being said, while I am careful what products I use on my acne-prone face and tend to use higher-end luxury types of skincare products, I’ve never really considered using luxury hand wash, outside of the fancy-smelling kinds which come in aesthetic packaging that you can buy on discount at department stores.
Because of my personal lack of a need for kale and green tea to be incorporated into hand wash (and my reluctance to pay $2.98 for a *single ounce* of hand soap!) I had to reduce this review to four stars.
As for the soap itself, it’s lovely! I’m sure this comment will raise some eyebrows, but this stuff smells exactly like my husband’s natural musk — kind of peppery and woody, if that makes sense. It’s aromatic but not at all in an abrasive way — the way many colognes or deodorants can overwhelm the senses. It does have a subtle green note as well. After washing, my hands feel clean and look cared for. Don’t expect it to provide the same effect as using hand lotion, but it’s definitely a gentle, non-stripping formula. The lingering skin scent has fully dissipated from my hands an hour or two after washing.
The packaging is quite aesthetic if you’re into the minimalist thing. This would make a thoughtful gift but it’s not something I would purchase again for myself, at least not at this price point. I’d personally rather save my money and splurge on some of their delightful skincare products!
