I went through a few pill cutters that either cut my pills crooked or messed them up. Mine are small. I saw this pill cutter and it said it would work so…I ordered it and OMG it cut so clean and EASY! The blade is sharp and not one pill got messed up. I’m going to order a couple more just in case I break it. It cut my small pills with ease. It comes with a little brush to clean and a silver pull carrier that will attach to your keys etc. Thank you!

I take several vitamins & dietary supplements. So I couldn’t wait to get this because so many of those are sold in dosages much higher than required. As I used this pill cutter, what I learned was that it’s great cutting normal round pills into two pieces. Likewise, smaller caplets are also cut easily. Problems occur when cutting very large caplets. The splitter did manage to do, but with each one I felt like the cutter was going to break. So far so good. Out of curiosity, I tried a small pill & found I could have split smaller pills with a hammer & gotten the same results, but that doesn’t go against this pill cutter because it does say that it isn’t for small pills. It is possible to quarter larger pills if you aren’t worried about 100% accuracy, & with vitamins, I’m not. For the price, this is a fairly good pill cutter. I’ve only used it enough for one week’s worth of vitamins. If it doesn’t last a suitable amount of time, I will update my review.

Update: The company reached out to me and they’ve been wonderful. They were unaware the factory changed the item. While I wouldn’t buy this particular cutter I would absolutely buy something else from this seller because their customer service is truly much better than any other company I’ve dealt with on Amazon.
I ordered this back in August 2023 and it worked well. Recently I dropped it and broke it so I decided to order 2 more, because I needed a second on anyway. I was very disappointed that it’s no longer the same. At first look it looks the same, but the little piece on the top that clicks in to keep it closed is no longer there. It’s still shown in the picture but both of the items I received don’t have it. I checked both of the ones that arrived and neither has the latch and it’s clear it’s no longer meant to be there. As a result the new ones don’t stay shut. I purposely bought this style so I could cut a bunch at once and keep it in the reserve area. Now you can’t do that because theres a good change that if you make a mistake the pills will go flying everywhere. You absolutely can not put it in your bag like the pictures show, it will open immediately. You can’t do anything with it other than leave it sitting flat. Disappointing that to save a few cents the factory (not the seller, I’m adding this after communications with the company) ruined their product.

This pill cutter is fantastic, it holds the pill and cuts it cleanly. My old one broke, it crumbled pills and made a mess. I’m extremely impressed! There is even a brush to sweep any slight residue away. It is very easy to use and a great value for the money.
