Great product. Very helpful for keeping my lab results where I needed them. Let’s just say the fats in my blood lessened. I’m happy.

September 2022 : Total Cholesterol: 259, HDL 42, LDL 177. Jan 2023 after 3 months taking 1 cap for the first two months, then 2 caps for the last month (December) -> Total Cholesterol went down a bit but not into normal range as 243, HDL 44, LDL 171. Total cholesterol down by just 16 mg/dl (6%) lower, HDL a little higher. Sep 2022: Triglycerides 235, Jan 2023: 142. Lower by 40%, 93 mg/dl, into normal range. Very happy about that as well as my A1C on September 2022 was 6 then my A1C on January 2023 went down to 5.6 into normal range. I take 2 caps of fish oil daily, together with a very healthy balance diet, no sweets, no drinking, no refined carbs. I Walk 30 minutes or more a day, and also do Yoga. My weight in September was 148 pounds, my current weight is 138 pounds. I am 5′.5″, on my fifties. My doctor recommended to keep going with my healthy eating plan and exercising every day then I will have a follow up again in 4 months. At this point due to the positive changes on my blood work, and after my doctor evaluate my individual risk, no statins are prescribed. I am happy about that. He recommended to stop taking this supplement, but I will continue taking one cap a day until my next blood work in 4 months. Cholesterol levels did not get as low as I was expecting, nevertheless, I see improvement, but A1C and triglycerides are back to normal range. Note: genetic Cholesterol runs in my family, and it seems that I produce Cholesterol. I am just posting my own experience taking this supplement. Not submitting any recommendation to anyone else. This is just my personal review.

I was diagnosed with CVD and had to aggressively get my cholesterol levels in check. So for 2 months, I was taking Jarrow Citrus Bergamot 1000 mg /day along with doing the Pauling Therapy (Megasose Vitamin C & Lysine). I was also on the Nutritarian diet and regular exercise during this time. After two months, my LDL Particle Number which was above the 95th percentile dropped more than half. It’s now in the 20-49th percentile. As a bonus, I’m no longer insulin resistant. My doctor was so impressed he told me to disregard his prescription of statin/niacin and to keep on doing what I was doing.
I have not experienced any bad side effects while on this therapy. I did lose weight and gained much more energy though. I’m very happy that this is working for me and I hope it will work for others.
I’ll update after 6 months of this treatment combination.
Update after 1 yr:
I discontinued use of citrus bergamot just to see if my numbers change. I still continued, however, the Pauling therapy and exercise regimen and nutritarian diet. My blood results from October 2016 came back and my LDL particle number rose 5%, my HDL dipped 20%, and LDL/Trig went up 25%. My lipids numbers are still in good range but no longer great. So I think the citrus bergamot does help me out. I will go on 1000mg/day again and update.

I had high cholesterol, particularly triglycerides for several years. Was on meds for that. Didn’t want to be on drugs, so lost the weight (20 lbs), started exercising better and cleaned up my diet. Lowered it enough to get off the meds, but still was high-normal. Started taking bergamot (1 per day, w/evening meal). Even though I gained back 8 lbs during the winter when I couldn’t get outside and exercise as much (and had a nerve issue/injury that kept my exercising to a minimum for a couple months, and slacked off a bit on diet (not too bad, but lots of visits with family during that time), my most cholesterol check was great! Better than it ever has been. Triglycerides and bad cholesterol were great. (Good cholesterol was also great.) There is no magic “cure” for high cholesterol. If you want off drugs, you have to do your part. Lose the weight, do the exercise, fix the diet and take safe supplements like bergamot! If you do some research, you will find that bergamot is prescribed by doctors in Europe for cholesterol. There have been lots of studies even here in the USA that agree. However, due to the corrupt system here, we will probably never see this used as a “modern” medical treatment for cholesterol in the USA. Doesn’t make $ for the pharma industry or medical industry.

I took this for 2.5 months and though I made some other minor changes they were modest. My LDL went from 144 to 109, Total cholesterol went from 227 to 180 and HDL stayed the same at 51. It works! I used sometimes 1000mg and sometimes 500mg a day. I had no side effects though muscle spasms may be a side effect. I am impressed with it.

Has anyone else experienced nausea at anytime when taking this product? After taking it for a few weeks, I started getting pretty nauseous the next morning after having taken an evening dose with dinner. Mind you, I didn’t know until after doing some research that it should be taken 30 minutes before eating (which isn’t specifically stated on the bottle, btw), although not sure why it’s prior to meals rather than with meals. Anyway, the times I would take it with a meal (because I forgot to take it before), is when the nausea would set in the next morning after breakfast. I tested my theory of what might be causing this by first eliminating anything else it could be food-wise/beverage-wise, eating the same breakfast the next day each time, drinking the same morning coffee, etc. I then experimented with taking the supplement 30 mins prior to my evening meal vs. with the meal. Every time I took it with my meal, the nausea would return the next morning. When I took it at least 30 mins prior to the meal, no nausea the next day. I can’t figure out why the nausea would be delayed if this is in fact the cause, but I’d sure be interested to know if anyone else has had a problem with this at anytime after starting citrus bergamot.
