Great for cold use, not recommended for heat.
I was so disappointed when my mask was ruined in the microwave after only 3-5 seconds. Even on low power, it had popped a 2mm hole in the plastic. It can still be used in the freezer, but I’m not a girl that enjoys cooling therapy, so this product wasn’t for me. I really wish it had worked out better as the fit is perfect and I like that the cutouts allow me to see without needing to remove the mask. On the bright side, 2 masks are included in the order, so I was able to use the other mask by heating it in a sealed bag placed in warm water as suggested in the listing details. I hope that the manufacturer will remove the microwaving instructions, because the product is great, but it cannot be used in this way.

I’ve used gel filled eye masks for years so I’m familiar with the benefits of gel filled beads. This face mask looks a bit weird but feels incredibly wonderful. I store these in a zip-lock bag in the refrigerator not freezer. Every morning when I pour my first cup of coffee, I Velcro one of these around my tired face. I prefer the bead side against my skin but it also has a softer fabric side if you prefer. Its cool and soothing to my skin. It isn’t so cold that it hurts and it surrounds my eyes, cheeks and forehead. The coolness last for a good half hour but I usually leave it on for a full hour before jumping into the shower. I like that is has an elastic Velcro strap that keeps the mask in place. I also like that it has eye and nose holes so I can walk around or even do chores while I’m wearing it. I have never put these in the microwave but if that’s what you want it for, I’m sure it would work equally as well as long as you use common sense and you would probably want to put the softer side against your skin. Its also nice to strap one on before bed, it makes me tired and is soothing and relaxing.
I also like that these come in a two pack which makes it a sexy way to end our date night!! For the price I highly recommend and I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it!

These masks are very comfortable. They are soft, and the beads are cool. The beads are cool even they haven’t been refrigerated, and after being refrigerator they are incredibly refreshing. I really appreciate the fact that they are not solid masks, and can be worn while completing tasks with my eyes open.

So I got these for my wife because she struggles with migraines and lately has had extremely bad bouts of eczema on her face which has caused her to have very puffy eyes. She’s really enjoyed them. It’s great that there are two so if you want them cold you can always have one Re-freezing. At first, she didn’t like that the bead side didn’t go on her face like others she’d had in the past. She tried it bead to face but being totally frozen it almost seemed it burn from being so cold, so now she does the soft side in her face only. It’s a nice relief for her ailments and seems to help with the puffiness. She hasn’t had a migraine yet thankfully, so we can’t report on that but hope it can also give some relief next time she gets one.

Just be prepared to look really weird. When it’s frozen the beads become a little ridged, so it’s not going to lay down perfectly against your face. The beads came uneven. As in some parts of the mask was jam packed with beads, where some parts had no beads in it. I found this out after I froze the mask, so before you throw them into the freezer, make sure you adjust where the beads are. My bf and I are both sick right now, and we both use this to alleviate out sinus pressure. It actually helps.
