I stumbled upon these cough drops whilst waiting in line to check out my groceries at a popular discount grocery store. “Hmm”, I thought, ‘I’ve never seen that brand before and the Anise flavour is appealing.”
I bought them for the flavour as the standard cough drop flavours don’t do anything for me. They overwhelm the face with menthol and don’t do a thing for the cough.
Next morn I awoke with an allergy induced , nagging cough…popped one of these little gems in the piehole and to my surprise….they suppressed the coughing!
The flavour is mild, not too sweet, not menthol-y.

Jakemans, what happened to the size of yours sweets? You “refined the way you make our sweets” should read “We gotcha, cause they’re smaller.” The taste seems to be a little off, also….get it? They are little. But seriously, the anise does not seem to be as present as the larger sized sweets. Please bring back the larger size!!!!

I first tried UK (England) drops on a visit to London and got hooked.
I like these better than the American brands which have artificial colors/flavors/sweeteners/ingredients.
UK (England) brands certainly taste better to me.
Jakemans are probably healthier than brands with artificial ingredients.
I like these more than Ricola drops too.

These are by far the best cough drops I have ever found. Sprouts no longer carries them so Amazon is my go to place for purchase. I share them with friends because they are so good.

Jakeman’s, in my opinion, are some of the very best cough drops there are. Especially, these licorice flavored ones. However, I didn’t realize the individual size of each drop is twice the size of the regular drops. I’ve gotten the ones in the store that come in a box, not the package. Anyway, they’re very good and help the crazy cough I get from allergies. Just wish they were half the size. 🙂
