Having previously tried and loved unflavored IsoPure, I was excited to try this vanilla kind. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the general after taste of it. It’s a quality protein powder, but I’ll stick with unflavored.
The positives:
-dissolves easily
-smells good
-tastes mostly alright in a PB type shake
-25 grams of protein
The negatives:
-aftertaste
-didn’t taste good at all just blended with milk or mixed with anything else. I tried oatmeal and baking into cookies.

IT’S SO GOOD?!?!? I have choked down more protein powders in my life than most. I have spent a stupid amount of money that I usually couldn’t actually afford on the ‘best’ powders promoted by elite athletes etc., And it’s always terrible. I had totally written off protein supplements as just something I wasn’t compatible with and opt to find my protein in other food sources for the past two years and haven’t looked back. Until now. I grabbed a bag of the strawberry flavor a couple years ago and blended it with homemade yogurt for flavor, color, and protein. It was pretty good, but I quickly learned that I actually don’t like yogurt *that* much and didn’t think much of it, and I’m pretty sure I lost the bag of powder in the pantry until it got tossed I never tried it on its own. Fast forward to last week as I was shopping around for an easy cheap protein powder to add to smoothies because my fiance is bed ridden with a medication withdrawl and is primarily eating just smoothies and nutrient dense foods that she doesn’t have to eat more than twice a day. I grabbed the 1lb bag of the Tahitian Vanilla, and hoped it would blend up well with lots of fruits, at least enough to not be terrible (literally my expectations were so low that I just wanted it to be edible, not even good). I received the bag on January 12th and was BLOWN AWAY by how good it was. I’m blending two scoops (50g protein) into 10oz of good belly probiotics juice, adding some frozen blue berries, water, and 2 scoops of 1st phorm opti-greens. ITS SO GOOD. After tasting the concoction I was hoping would be edible, I made a second one for myself and basically chugged it because it was so good. As I made one for my mother in law to try, while shouting through the house how good it was, I ordered several more flavors and a 3lb container. I am elated over the quality, flavor, low/no carbs, and price point. I’ve texted several people telling them about it. I cannot get over it. I think this might be the protein supplement that allows me to actually reduce my meat consumption as I would prefer to do without sacrificing protein goals. In combo with a significant amount of probiotics, my fiance has not had any GI issues from it, she’s regular and satiated when eating this smoothie as the base of her diet right now, and she’s getting over 100gs of protein which will really help her body utilize the amino acids to repair her neurotransmitters that are struggling while she withdrawls. I could not recommend this protein powder more. I will update this review in the event I don’t like any of the 5 other flavors I ordered, but if they’re even half as good as tahitian vanilla, they’ll still knock my socks off.

Heard clean ingredients can taste icky or chalky. This tastes and smells so good. First protein powder I’ve tried and don’t think I’ll try anymore as this one is sooooo good doesn’t hurt my tummy.

If you’re on the hunt for the perfect protein powder to elevate your smoothie game, look no further than Isopure Protein Powder. This is my go to product integrated into my smoothie routine, enhancing both the flavor and nutritional profile. What sets Isopure apart is its versatility—it blends effortlessly, leaving no gritty texture and imparting a creamy consistency to my smoothies. I prefer to start my smoothie and then add in the protein powder at the end with extra liquid.
The taste is exceptional, with a variety of flavors to suit different preferences. Whether you’re a fan of fruity blends or indulgent chocolate creations, Isopure complements the flavors without overpowering them.
One of the standout features is the protein quality. It not only provides a substantial protein boost but does so with a clean formula that aligns with my health goals. It’s a fantastic solution for those seeking a protein powder that not only performs well in smoothies but also contributes to a well-rounded and nutritious diet.

Very high quality protein, it dissolves very well! I love their zero/low carb version (silver bag/jug), but you can only have so many servings before the vitamins and minerals become a waste product that your body needs to deal with.
Isopure’s “low carb” version was a hopefully nice answer to that: Protein, & flavor.
Unfortunately, the Stevia (and maybe monk fruit) sweetener in both the strawberry and the Tahitian vanilla make the drink taste like it’s a medicine, or trying to be something it’s not. It’s too artificial and has a long lasting synthetic sweet aftertaste. The opposite of a creamy, rich, savory flavor. It just ruins it in these two flavors. Maybe chocolate would be more tolerable, but chocolate isn’t for me anyweay.

This is a great tasting protein if you add sweetener. I got the vanilla flavored one. My go to is usually Muscle Milk Vanilla which is so creamy but also really sweet. This smelled exactly like the Muscle Milk when I opened it. But when mixed with 2% or 1% milk, the flavor is very very subtle and in fact it isn’t very sweet at all. I usually add about a teaspoon or 1.5 tsp of monkfruit sweetner and man that makes a HUGE difference and tastes almost just like the MUSCLE milk. What is even better is that the full scoop totally dissolves very well into the milk and doesn’t leave any chalky texture or taste. It is smooth and very easy to go down. Highly recommended. I’m really picky about protein flavors too. I have been using the Pea proteins but they just taste too earthy even with chocolate and don’t blend well at all. I decided to change things up and it was well worth it.
The only thing is that this stuff ain’t cheap.
