As with most flavored medicine/vitamins, we were worried that these iron gummies would be a tough sell to the little ones. Other gummies can tend to taste “chalky” or “too iron-like” when chewing. These grape flavored gummies do not have that problem at all. They taste like regular gummy candies and we’ve received no complaints come “snack time”. I will say, the items we received were a bit on the stale side, but as long as they deliver the nutrients required, that is a small price to pay for nutrition. Overall, these have been a big hit in our household and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another bottle if needed.

My kids love the grape flavor of these iron gummies.
They leave very little aftertaste. Very easy to chew and swallow.
The recommended dose is for 2 to 3 year olds. Two gummies provides 5mg of iron. There is no sugar added.
If giving to older children I would recommend asking your pediatrician for the dosage.
With 60 gummies per bottle, you have a month’s supply.
Great iron supplement for your toddlers.

Pros – these taste like grape and a little sweet (courtesy of stevia + glucose syrup), unlike many iron forms which taste like… Metal, I think toddlers and young kids wouldn’t mind taking this. They’re gummi without being too sticky. Vitamin C is included which helps increase iron absorption. Don’t take near calcium food or milk, since this binds to iron
Cons- in 2 gummies you only get 5mg iron, and nowhere on the bottle or their site does it mention which form. I assume it’s ferric saccharate since that’s the form I can see on other gummy irons. This isn’t extremely well absorbed, but if this gummy is the only way to get iron in your child, it’s better than nothing.
Definitely consult your child’s doctor if this is a good option for your child’s needs.
To get higher doses of iron you will also be increasing the sugars, though it doesn’t have sorbitol so hopefully no diarrhea/ GI distress. This bottle comes with a child proof cap– Iron IS Toxic in high doses, and since these are tasty they should always be kept away from small children. There is about 150 mg iron in the bottle which could be an issue, especially in the smaller body of a child.

These are just a bit larger than your typical fruit snack, so if giving them to your children, you’ll want to supervise them. They’re pectin gummies, so aren’t really chewy or bouncy, and the flavor is incredibly light. It’s not bad, as Concord grape-flavored things go, but seeing as this is for kids, it could probably be a bit stronger. That said, it doesn’t taste medicinal or odd in any way, so I don’t think kids should have any issues taking it.

Vitamin C and iron are important for children because they help produce red blood cells, improve circulation and prevent nutritional deficiencies. I liked these vitamin C with iron because it is easy for my daughter to chew and its grape flavor is pleasant for her and she really likes the dinosaur shape, ideal for children 2 to 3 years old. I give her 2 gummies daily.

Finding the right iron gummy for my kids has been such a challenge, especially since they’re not a fan of grape flavors in general. However, they actually really like these. I love the fact that these are paired with Vitamin C, which helps with absorption. They come in these cute little dinosaur shapes and are a good texture. They weren’t stuck together either. These are friendly on the purse strings too. I’ll definitely be getting these again. They’re a hit with my kids and total mom win!
