This IOMA Paris Generous Eye Contour Cream smells unscented and doesn’t list parfum or obvious irritants, though at a least one source says the synthetic peptide SYN-AKE (supposed to mimic snake venom) may cause irritation so it seems worth reading about. I do have sensitive skin yet don’t find this irritating at all. Also, my skin gets dry and flaky under my eyes, and this does an effective job providing hydrating my skin so the area looks smoother and I get a better application of my eye concealer (which accentuates every flake when the area isn’t well moisturized).
This cream has a pleasing consistency that’s creamy and fairly thick. It absorbs well and isn’t greasy. This gives my skin very slight brightening and firming so far (nothing that blows me away). But I can’t yet judge the longer term benefits, such as collagen production from the peptide Kollaren and so on. I typically need at least 6 weeks of consistent use to assess benefits beyond added moisture of an eye cream. So far, I mainly find this cream pleasing and hydrating, but it may have longer term potential. Like it a lot. 4.5 stars.

Given the price point, I was very hopeful that this would be the miracle eye cream that I have been searching high and low for. While it’s a decent eye cream, it’s certainly not worth the price tag. I enjoy the pump, as it doesn’t dispense out too much product that you just end up wasting. I enjoy that it is fragrance free and applies on so smoothly. It is fairly hydrating but more so maintains the moisture under your eyes rather than adding loads to it. If I had to place a fair price tag on it, I’d pay $25-30 tops. But then again, there are cheaper ones out there that do the same job.

I find this eye cream pretty moisturizing, though thinner than I prefer. I wind up layering a thicker cream over it, but it does go on smoothly and it moisturizes the area very well. I use it at night, and my skin is very hydrated in the morning. I have very sensitive skin and it hasn’t been irritating at all. I have thinner skin under my eyes, and some lines and one wrinkle. I still have the wrinkle after using this, but the other issues are lessened if I keep the area moisturized.

I love face or eye creams, not this one in particular. I saw no change, or even a small progressed one. Texture is very light weight. Its soft and lots of moisture, so I suppose thats the best part. Its a thick glass coating for the bottle it comes in, looks fancy. Price is okay, but if I see no visual change, price becomes an issue for me. Expensive or not, I hope someone else has better luck with it and maybe its just me that it didnt work.

J’adore.

This is a 15 cc container of eye cream. It’s moderately dense and does a nice job protecting and hydrating the fragile under eye area. You don’t need much, just a scant pump. I love that it does not irritate my sensitive eyes. My under eye area looks less dark and sunken. Even though it’s only half an ounce this will last me a while since you need such a small amount. Effective for me.

IOMA Paris Generous Eye Contour Cream feels amazing when you apply it! Eye contouring cream is supposed to moisturize, brighten and lift the skin around your eyes, but when I first got it, I wasn’t too sure how to apply it. A quick online search taught me how to apply it in semi-circles, from inside the eye to the outside, above and below the eye.
As this was my first contour cream, I wasn’t sure if that meant the product was reshaping my eyes or what, but the fact is that it does brighten and tighten your skin, which in effect, is reshaping. So I guess I get it now.
I like to use this product after a good cleanse, then a toner, then the contour cream, then foundation, if I’m wearing any that day.
Sometimes, I feel the contour cream alone is enough and my regimen ends right there. It’s a very effective cream and I like it very much!

This comes in an outer product box. It is made in France.
I got a few different IOMA products at the same time. Each one has a number in the front of the bottle. I thought maybe it was to specify which order to use them in. But, it seems they specify the category. “1” is “Hydra,” 2” is “Energize,” “3” is “Renew,” “4” is “Calm,” “5” is “Purete,” “6” is “Matte,” and “7” is “Illuminate.”
This is 3, so it is meant to “Renew.” You apply it every morning and night to the contours of the eyes. It says under the eyes but I’ve been applying it on my lids as well. It’s very hydrating. It is a thicker consistency that feels really nice. It doesn’t feel heavy on the eyes. It takes about a minute to fully absorb and it leaves even my really dry under eyes feeling well moisturized. It works well with all the different concealers I’ve tried it with. It doesn’t ball up with other skin care products.
It claims that “right after application, the eye contour area looks smoother, signs of tiredness vanish, and your look is brighter.” Any skin care takes consistent use and time to work. There are some ingredients in skin care, like caffeine, that can give immediate results, but those are usually temporary. A quick look at the ingredient list for this, I didn’t see anything that would give immediate results like smoother skin, brighter skin, etc. Those things take time. I do feel like anything that moisturizes skin well is going to plump the area up and make it look healthier. It can help smooth the area by plumping it up. I do feel this moisturizes really well, so it makes my under eyes look slightly smoother since they don’t look so dry. Other than that, I haven’t noticed any real results.
Overall, I really like this a lot. It is pricey. I don’t think it has anything in it that I can’t find in other products for much less. While I do like the feel of it on my eye area and feel it moisturizes well, I have other eye creams that do the same that cost much less. So, this isn’t something I’ll get when I run out….unless I start seeing real results that I don’t get from my other favorite eye creams that cost less. If price isn’t a factor, this is a nice eye cream. I just think there’s similar options out there for less. I give it 4 stars.
