I ordered this after hearing how much it helped people with their inflammation issues. I have IBS and have to take extra strength probiotics (100 Billion cultures with 13 active strains) religiously to help me regulate my gut better. I noticed a huge difference when I began my probiotics and wanted to be “healthier” by taking this supplement.
It arrived on time and in perfect condition. Got the advertised amount. Instructions are clear and easy to understand and the ingredients are very clearly labeled. The product, however, didn’t work for me. I took 2 pills 30 minutes before eating breakfast and drank a large glass of water with them, per the instructions. A few minutes later I began to feel a slight tingling on my lips, tongue, and throat along with a slight upset in my tummy. The slight discomfort in my stomach gradually increased until it became painful. I spent the entire day feeling as though I had a huge knot in my stomach and couldn’t even eat due to the pain and the lack of appetite. The pain brought me to my knees at one point. It felt like my stomach had flipped. Clearly, it didn’t agree with my body. I eat the same breakfast every morning and maintain my morning routine quite strict. So, it was easy for me to discern that it was the “Inflame Shield”. I didn’t eat anything else that day because of the pain either. My husband said he noticed me getting flushed and said my eyes were red and puffy, as if I had just cried. I think I may be allergic to these pills. I took some Benadryl late in the evening and it helped my stomach tremendously. Nothing major.
The label says it CONTAINS SHELLFISH AND CRAB. Having been a vegetarian most of my life, I’ve never had shellfish before. So, I wouldn’t know if I’m allergic. Beware of these ingredients if you have an allergy. This does contain some beneficial ingredients like turmeric and ginger root, both of which are proven to help with inflammation. I’m sure this works for some people, just not me. I will be ordering turmeric and ginger root capsules instead. I’m so glad I only ordered a 1 month supply. I don’t think I can return an open contained so I’ll just be tossing these in the yard debris bin so that my husband and youngest son, both of whom have a severe shellfish allergy, can’t get to them.
