My AM Routine: Wash/exfoliate with facial cleaner, serum, moisturizer with SPF (or additional sunscreen if not contained in moisturizer)
My PM Routine: Wash with Micellar Water/reusable cotton round or other facial cleanser, serum, heavier overnight moisturizer
I used this serum after washing/exfoliating my face during my AM routine. The product came extremely well-packaged in a sealed bag in addition to a tamper-proof covering over the cap. It also included two inserts containing a lot of instructions for use along with other skincare tips. The consistency of the serum was more liquid than gel and was easy to apply.
PROS: This serum had a slight, though not unpleasant scent out of the bottle but that dissipated quickly after application. I would imagine it would be fine for those sensitive to strong smells. The WOW factor for me was how silky smooth my skin felt after application and for several hours afterwards. It felt so good that I skipped my AM cream and just applied sunscreen a few hours later before going outside. Zero stickiness even right after application. I’d rank this as one of my top 5 serums for dry, sensitive skin.
CONS: The only negative I can see is the price of $72 is a bit high for such a small bottle. HOWEVER, a little does go a long way and the quality is excellent so I did not deduct from my rating. And as of this writing, there is a 50% discount being offered which to me looks like a steal for this quality of a product.

I recently bought this as a prime day deal, which is unfortunate because now I can’t imagine not having it and its a bit pricey. I really like this product, it feels very nutrient rich. A light serum with an herbacious smell, it absorbs nicely into the skin. It just feels like a very high quality product with very well thought out ingredients. Also, wondeful informative packaging, which makes me want to try other products from this line.

This serum is packed with natural herbs and Japanese hot spring water to moisturize your skin. It has a pleasant scent (very light) of the botanical herbs which I love much better than chemical-based fragrance.
I have been using Hyakkaso’s soap, toner, and this serum for a week. Frankly, I never thought my skin could feel this soft without moisturizers. It’s been a week since I started doing their simple 3-step skincare and voila! Every morning, my skin is hydrated even though I haven’t used any cream-based products. My skin feels amazing. I feel like I have been feeding tons of unnecessary chemicals to my skin for decades! I love this simpler routine. You can always count on Japanese skincare brands 🙂

This is a very nice, thick serum. It is a slight amber color with a subtle scent that goes away after application. It is actually quite moisturizing after use. I’ve tried other brands of hyaluronic serums, but this one is the most moisturizing ones I have tried. It feels sticky after initial applications, but it absorbs in to the skin easily and my skin feels nice after using it. I didn’t have any adverse reaction to the product. It is a bit expensive, but it does feel like a premium product and I really like it. It’s decent sized bottle (50ml) so it will last longer than the usual smaller sized bottles of serum (30ml).

This serum is light weighted and hydrating. It does not irritates my sensitive skin and works good. However, there’s nothing special considering the price. There are many better alternatives.

I have quite sensitive skin, so I’m always looking for products that don’t irritate my skin and are hydrating without greasiness. This serum does both! It doesn’t irritate my very sensitive skin or give me any redness. It is very nice and hydrating, and I love that I can use it year-round: in the summer, it isn’t greasy or sticky in heat and humidity, and it’s also hydrating enough to use in the winter. I use it at night after my toner and before my moisturizer (I don’t know how it would layer under makeup, I haven’t tried). I love that it’s a natural product also. Plus, the airless pump design helps keep the product fresh from the start of the bottle to the end, and it makes it easy to dispense into my hand for application (very convenient). Honestly, I buy hundreds of dollars worth of skincare per year and this is one of my favorites: I’ve re-bought it several times.

Been using this serum for over a week and its such a moisturizing serum! It really has given moisture to my skin better than a moisturizer so I definitely would recommend it! It is pricey with the $72.50 price tag but it works so I don’t think you’d be disappointed.
This serum’s bottle is in Japanese. There is a label with English but for some reason it was on the clear plastic that wrapped the bottle instead of on the bottle itself. The bottle does say this cost 6800 yen which is $49.29 USD at today’s rate so this listing did up the price by a lot. I think this is worth $50 than $70. The bottle is 50ml and so far I barely made a dent into it since you don’t need a lot.
The serum itself has a very light scent and is like a soft sticky gel consistency. It goes on the skin nicely but it does leave a bit of a tacky finish. I usually put on a moisturizer afterwards so that tackiness does go away after layering something else on top. So far my skin loves it even thought my skin type is oily. It hasn’t irritate it at all and if my skin did sensitive or irritated this does help my skin calm it down a bit.
Two pamphlets also came with this with skincare instructions which is cute. Its a great look into Japanese style skincare routine! The other paper is just info on this serum and their toner. This was all packaged in a clear plastic bag.
