I have used Host Defense mushroom capsules for several years for increased energy and fortifying my immune system. The powder allows me to mix the reishi with herbal teas and smoothies. The reishi powder has an earthy flavor. The powder is more cost effective than the capsules. Best when taken in the morning and up to the late afternoon. I take the powder 2x a day. I had problems falling to sleep when taken too close to bedtime. When taken early in the day, I have no problems with sleep and I am ready and motivated to workout in the evenings when I return home from the office. I highly recommend this product.

What’s inside the bottle is mycelium, way way more potent than fruit body. Consistently high quality with powerful ingredient. I just wish that from such an illustrious brand, they upped the quality to “from fruiting bodies,” areas of merely the cheaper blend of mycelium (which necessarily involves including the ground up substrate the fungus grew on- usually oats). Now buying all my mushroom powders as extracts from fruiting bodies, from Bulk Supplements.

I really like the flavor. It tastes great when I mix it with my pre-workout (Blue-Razz). It almost taste like watermelon. This doesn’t mix that easily but when it does, it’s a pleasant texture. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my endurance while in the gym. I’ve taken this for about three weeks now. Simple and to the point. Would definitely recommend!

In the summer of 2019 my dog was diagnosed with pancreatitis, she was hospitalized 4 times, and I finally figured out how to keep her from getting sick by feeding her low-fat canned food. However, anytime I fed her enough to keep a 90 pound dog alive, she got sick again. I kept her going by medicating her with Prilozec and Imodium, but still was not able to feed her enough, we were at 1 1/2 cans of canned food per day for a 90+ pound dog. It either got her sick, or I had to starve her, I was desperate.
That was the point I started adding Turkey Tail and Reishi mycelium extract to her food…Within a week, I was able to drop all her other meds and up her food intake to double and triple what she was able to tolerate before.
Now she can eat 3-4 cans per day, plus rice and yoghurt, gained back her weight, is happy and healthy, does not get sick or stop eating, I had her vet check her pancreas levels, which are now better then ever. I just wanted to let you all know, I am so grateful, as skeptical as I was before trying this, seeing my dog happy and healthy again turned me into a believer.
